Before I even had the chance to speak I heard Arnold's mother call us to come down and eat. Arnold's face turned onto a slight grimace but he eventually sighed before giving me a half hearted smile.

"I guess we can finish this conversation later. Let's go down and eat." Arnold said.

"R-Right okay." I responded, my heart pounding hard from what had just happened. I saw him get up to go downstairs. I quickly took a few breaths to keep myself calm, and began to follow him down the stairs and into the dining room where everyone was eating.

And just like always the room was lively with everyone talking with each other. I seen Arnold's grandmother cartwheel into the room. Throwing me a bit off guard. Though I couldn't help but chuckle a bit at her energy.

"Why hello again Eleanor! Didn't think to see you again today." Gertie said joyfully .

"Hey Gertie how is it going?" I asked cheerfully.

"Besides just capturing some wild raccoons trying to mess up the trash from outside it's been pretty darn eventful." Gertie addressed with a proud expression.

My eyes widened upon her response, and that's when I noticed she had a few scratches on her arms.

"Oh wow..." I trailed off in awe.

"Pookie didn't I tell you to let the animal control deal with the raccoons?" Arnold's grandpa, Phil questioned her with a disproving look.

"You and I both know that I'm the better master at keeping them away." Gertie stated.

Phil rolled his eyes at her response, which made me and Arnold chuckle a bit. We then sat down at the table to join everyone else at the table. Arnold sitting right next to me in the process. Noticing that made my heart jump. I was trying not to blush so to distract myself I waved at everyone as a greeting. They responded by saying hi back. Except for Oskar and his wife Suzie, who were once again arguing at the table.

"I told you Oskar I'm not letting you borrow more money. Remember we still need to pay the car payment soon. And you still have yet to come up with your half!" Suzie snapped.

"But Suzie I need my half to get some other important things done." Oskar pleaded.

"Oh really like what?" Suzie questioned him in disbelief.

"Well the internet is going to get cut off so I uh need the money for that. Mm yeah." Oskar said with a nervous smile.

"Oskar the internet bill doesn't cost that much. You're trying to use the money to see that baseball game next week aren't you?!" Suzie yelled.

"No no of course not Suzie." Oskar lied avoiding her eyes.

"Oskar..." Suzie stated giving him a look.

"Okay fine you caught me. But its one of the biggest ones this year. And If I go you can come with me as well." Oskar tried to say with a charming smile.

She raised her eyebrow at him. Before he gave a defeated sigh.

"Okay fine I'll help pay my part. I'm sorry." Oskar said sadly.

Suzie rolled her eyes pouting in the process before facing in the other direction.

"Suzie, honey please forgive I'm really sorry." Oskar whined.

She still scoffed at his response and still faced away from him.

"How about I make it up by taking you out to eat next week instead?" Oskar asked with a hopeful eyes.

That's when Suzie finally turned her head slightly to meet his.

"Yes Suzie I know how much you love going out to eat. And no you won't have to pay. It's all on me." Oskar stated.
