I was sitting in English class contemplating how I was going to get through the day without thinking about that creep that was watching me earlier. What would have happened had the bus not come early like it did? Would he have still made a move to come towards me? I was going through all of this in my head until I felt a light tap on my shoulder. Which shook me up so bad that I jumped about to fall out of my chair from shock. Though Arnold managed to catch my arm before I did so.
"Woah! Are you okay Helga?" I heard Arnold ask as he steadied me back into my seat.
"Oh um y-yeah totally fine. Just caught me by surprise is all." I said as a blush formed on my face.
"Sorry about that I didn't mean to. I just was trying to get your attention since you weren't responding when I was by the door." Arnold said sheepishly.
"Oh really? I hadn't even noticed." I said a bit embarrassed that I hadn't noticed.
"Yeah, I was just trying to see if you possibly would be able to meet Mr Higgins with me before class next hour?" Arnold asked.
"Um yeah, yeah sure." I said slightly not paying attention.
That's when Arnold's eyebrows furrowed with concern. Sensing something was up with me.
"Helga are you sure you're okay?" He asked once more.
I was about to respond when I heard Rhonda and the girls come in not too long after. After they noticed me they immediately rushed towards me and tackled me in a hug. Which threw me off completely.
"Woah!" Arnold said in surprise from nearly being knocked over but managed to catch his balance.
"What in the world are you guys doing?!" I asked in confusion.
"Just guess what happened?!" Rhonda exclaimed excitedly.
"Uh what?" I asked more confuse then ever.
"You know how we agreed to join theatre class this year?" Nadine said with a huge smile.
Oh yeah I actually almost forgot about that. Actually I'm wondering why I agreed to do that again in the first place. Then the thought of Ruth popped up in my mind which annoyed me all over again. Oh yeah that's the reason why.
"Yeah what happened?" I asked now curious.
"We're in! We're able to join!" Lila said with joy.
"What how?! We didn't even go to the auditions yet?" I asked in astonishment.
"Yes but since there weren't many signing up this year, it leaves us against only Ruth and her gang and a few others." Phoebe said with delight.
"We still have to go to the auditions after school today. But as long as we give a great performance, which I'm sure we will. We're automatically in!" Rhonda said confidently.
"Holy crap." I couldn't help saying any other words.
"Wow that's amazing! I'm sure you guys will do great." Arnold said with a huge smile.
"You really think so?" I asked.
"I mean you proved to me you were a really great actress back in elementary. I mean that kiss between us felt too real, had me questioning whether it was all an act or not." Arnold said to me with his eyes half lidded. I ended up blushing to the extreme from his words. Not even knowing what to say.
"Oh Arnold you remember that?!" Lila asked in shock.
"Yes that was surely a long time ago." Phoebe said with also a look of surprise.
