After school assignment part 2

We had ended up finishing up a few more things for Mr. Higgins before we set off to go to Arnold's place. Since we did have a few other assignments to do for our other classes, Arnold thought we could help each other while we were at his house.

"Ugh I just don't feel like doing any homework after doing all that work." I groaned.

"It won't be that bad. Besides at least we managed to finish all those errands for Mr. Higgins. So now we won't have to worry about it." Arnold said trying to cheer me up.

"Still don't get why he couldn't do all those errands himself." I muttered why pouting.

"You know you look cute when you pout like that." Arnold said looking at me from the side of his eyes.

I blushed from him saying that and immediately tried to fix my face.
Arnold just laughed saying my expression was cute. Which didn't help my case at all! Stupid Arnold.

"We're almost there, anything you want to eat before we get there?" Arnold asked.

"Well I guess I am hungry for some Burger King." I couldn't help myself from saying as my stomach growled.

"Ha ha okay." Arnold said as he made a turn to head towards burger king.

Once we got there he had ordered some food as well before we left to head towards his house. I had already started digging into my fries since I was starving. And about 10 minutes later we were finally at the boarding house. Arnold parked the car on the side of the house before taking the keys out and unbuckling his seatbelt. Before I had even had the chance to do the same. Arnold had already gotten out of the car and walked to my side to get my things.

"Hey I can carry my own stuff." I snapped.

"I know just thought I'd make it easier since you're eating." Arnold said as he placed my backpack on his shoulder, his burger king bag in his other hand.

"Oh well I guess, but this is the only time Football head. Don't think you being all cutesy is going to make me sweet to you." I said with a smirk.

"Right I'll keep that in mind." Arnold said with a half lidded gaze. A playful smile growing on his face as well.

I blushed feeling my heart beat increase from the way he looked at me. So much that I had placed my hand over my chest to somewhat calm it.

"Y-Yeah okay let's just go. I'm ready to get this stupid thing over with." I said quickly. Before hurrying up to grab my burger king bag and drink and going up to his door.

I felt him soon after walk up behind me. I felt him lean real close, his hair brushing lightly against my cheek.

"You were really quick to get out the car." Arnold said as he reached in his pocket for his key.

"Well I-I'm just eager to get this stuff done." I stuttered.

Geez can't he backup for a second? I feel like I'm going to faint.

"Right because that's the reason you're blushing right?" Arnold asked.

"What?" I asked back confused.

I had turned to look at him just to see his piercing eyes gazing back at me. And for a moment we both just stood there in silence. I was trying to figure out what he could've meant earlier. But I had a feeling I already knew. Though before I could get an answer, he had already put the key in the door and unlocked it. And soon the many different animals rushed out the door as he opened it for us. Once they were all gone we finally walked in.

"Arnold you're home! We missed you dear." I heard his mom yell. Before she came over to him and gave a big hug.

"Hey mom I missed you too." Arnold greeted back while returning the hug.
