(7) Drainage Incident

Your POV

Over that past few days I've been trying to get rid of my fear of... well, humans. I'm still uncertain of whether or not if it's because I'm scared of what they'll do if they figure out what I really am, or if it's because I'm scared I'll hurt them. Moffle was okay with me walking around, only if it was near his attraction. Once a day I'll get some tea and try to play at his attraction. Day by day he saw me improve, but he asks, "(Y/n)-chan... how about a smile for the wall of fame?" "Smile...?" I asked curiously. Of course I knew what it was, but I never understood how people can do it just for the sake of a photo. Nevertheless I attempted it and Moffle posted it up.

I stretched as I finished learning Megalovania on piano. Looking at the time, Seiya and Sento must've already arrived. I pulled out a check list from a pocket in my inner skirt. The next song I needed to get sheet music for was "Aoki Tsukuba Michite". Compared to the former song, this won't prove too much of a challenge. As I walked out of my room with my laptop I ran into Latifah. "(Y/n)-sama? Are you going out again?" I nodded and showed her my sheet music. "Ah. I see. Well, keep your eye out for Sento-san and Kanie-sama." I nodded again and set out to the outside world. Opening Sento's schedule notes that she sent me, I figured that those two were checking out the pump. From simply making deductions, even with the replacement pumps, things won't go too well with that. I walked to a cafe that had a chain at the park and got a matcha latte, with it a small smile appeared in my face.

I continued walking to the office and connected my laptop to the printer. After running my hands through the freshly printed papers Isuzu walked in. "Your highness? What are you doing here?" She asked shocked. "I just had to print somethings." I replied back. She nodded and said, "You should've just asked me to do it. It's better if you don't leave the castle, you neve-" "My objective is to face that wizard." I replied, after hearing my serious tone, her eyes widened. "I mean! Don't worry, I'm sure we're prepared enough for that." I said trying to change the tone of the situation. She sighed and started printing her paperwork. "As an imperial guard I feel the need to protect you and princess Latifah." Isuzu says looking down. "You're Latifah's imperial guard..." I replied, going my separate way.

(Y/n) watched Sento pointed her musket at everyone who opposed her demands throughout the day. As the day got late she looked into the sky, already sensing the down pour heading their way.

"But with that ability, you must keep your mouth shut to prevent certain fates from changing."

The next day (Y/n) sat down on a crate at the bottom floor of the castle. She saw puddles form around her. On this floor was the mechanism that held up the magical force field. Even if it was waterproof, there would be some repercussions if a breach happens. She continued to stay on the crate, which was now floating due to the water, and her weight being non-existent. Pointing her hand at the 20 by 20, ton, mechanism she started to move the water away from it with her powers. Looking around the walls there was a faint red light. Some coming from the machine, others from her glowing eyes. "Hey Siri, call Seiya Kanie." She said to her phone. She gulped as the water started to crawl along the walls.

Seiya just finished giving orders to get refreshments once the operation was done, when he noticed his phone ring. Seeing the contact, he quickly answered it and pressed speaker, "What about the mechanism at the castle?" The voice asked. Sento's eyes widened once she heard the words and said, "How long can you hold off!?" "The water is already going up the walls, I need to get it 3 floors up to dispose of it." The voice replies. "We need someone to open the vault doors that leads outside then!" Sento replied glancing at Seiya. "I'll go! (Y/n), just lead me to you!" Seiya yells into the phone.

Seiya started to make a dash to the castle as (Y/n) guided him to a shaft that took him down stairs. While he was in there we saw water climbing the walls and exiting at various holes. Once he reached he bottom floor, that water was already 4 feet deep. (Y/n) told him to walk, or swim to the other side of the hallway and open up the two doors. After that, climb up the stairs and open the lock with a retina scan. On his way back he asked, "When were my eyes ever scanned for that!?" "Long story, just open up the door in the middle of the hallway to your left." (Y/n) replies. When Seiya got to the door he was pushed back, but soon the water worked their way around him. He was surprised at first, but then remembered he was in an amusement park filled with magical creatures and annoying mascots. Seiya took steps into the room and his eyes widened at the sight. A cube-like machine was in the middle of it, and all the walls were some sort of metal. The back wall was flooded, and he saw (Y/n) holding on a crate and guiding the water with her crimson eyes. Seiya continued to stare at everything in awe until (Y/n) collapsed while the water was about her height.

He immediately rushed over to her only to see that she just put her head down in her lap. Kneeling down to her level he placed a hand on her wet back, as all of the water cleared away. "Are you alright?" He asked, trying to remain calm. "Mm-hm." (Y/n) replies as she gets up only to feel dizzy again. Seiya quickly sprung up and grabbed her by the waist. "Oi! You're obviously not okay! Don't just stand up like that." He scolded. (Y/n) just nodded and hung her head low. Seiya gulped nervously before carrying her bridal style.

"S-s-s-s-seiya!?" (Y/n) screeched. "What? It's obvious you can't walk, and we're both going to get sick if we don't change. Is your room on the same floor as Latifah's?" He asked looking down at her. "Yes..." she replies. Once they got to her room Seiya set her down in the bathroom after she convinced him that she was fine. He sat down awkwardly until he heard the bathroom door open. "You're alrea-" Before he can finish (Y/n) dropped a towel over his head and walked back into the bathroom.

Seiya blinked, confused. Before furiously drying himself.
