"Liar." Seiya mumbled, a tick-mark forming on his head. "I thought you said you didn't need sleep." He says with a saddening pang erupting in his heart. 'Perhaps she just wanted to avoid me? Did she not like me at all? Or did she do it because she likes him?' These thoughts flowed through his mind, as I started to wake up after hearing them. "Actually, people of my race don't have to sleep. Though, we can do it recreationally. And after being here for a few years, it's been added to my schedule." I say, my head still on my desk, eyes closed.

I heard Seiya sigh and get up. Suddenly he started pulling on my rolling chair, and dumped me on the bed. He went to his dried and cleaned clothes saying, "I'm going to work. If you're going to do something recreationally, do it to the best of your ability and comfortably." I blinked and replied, "I don't follow." "Goodbye." Seiya says, leaving the room, leaving me confused.

I lay on my side, scrolling through my phone and the latest news. Not before long, Latifa knocks on the door. "(Y/n), I'd like to have breakfast with you this morning. Can you please meet me in the next few minutes?" she asks, in a gentle voice through the door. "Okay." I reply, my attention now focused on customer reviews of the park on Yelp. Before Latifa goes to the balcony, she says a quick thank you.

I dressed up lazily, using commands to tie certain pieces of clothing. Corsets require tricky fingering and tightening, those of which I don't possess early in the morning with my numb fingers. I walked down the halls, my heels clicking on the floor slightly, echoing throughout the palace. When I reached the balcony, my eyes focused on Seiya's figure in the distance before going on Latifa. She smiled and gestured for me to take a seat, and I did. Even though Latifa knew I didn't have to eat, and I much preferred the souls of others, she still prepared me a savory breakfast. Latifa has also helped me learn how the people of Maple Land and humans perceive food, and what's generally preferred amongst them.

In front of me was Latifa's miso soup, and my favorite morning drink. (A/n): I enjoy homemade matcha green tea lattes or taro lattes in the mornings.~) We sat down with a moment of silence as I tried to recognize what improvements Latifa made to the recipe. When I finished my soup, Latifa started to speak to me, "(Y/n), I've been thinking... I know you help a lot around the park behind the scenes, but I think it's now necessary for you to step up into the staff's eye." I thought about what she said for a moment. I was here for hiding and to mellow down the conflicts in the magic kingdoms. "Doing that would just kill everyone." I say blatantly, not beating around the bush.

Before my brother dropped me off here, I've made a lot of enemies from just existing. The amount of terror my people placed onto world still has impact to this day. Even if somehow my brother wants to change that, it's in our DNA to cause havoc.

Latifa frowned at my response but she knew it was true. "Well... then I ask that you continue to help at the park in every way you can." She states sternly, and I nod in response. "What do you think of Seiya? Do your predictions still hold true?" Latifa asked, finishing her soup. I thought about it for a moment and answered, "I believe so, and I don't sense any presences that can interrupt that fate." Latifa nodded and let out a sigh of relief.

While I was finishing my drink, Isuzu knocked on the balcony doors. "You can see us Sento." Latifa replies to the knocks. Isuzu walks outside and gives us a salute. Latifa asks, "What do you need Isuzu?" She answers directly, "I need Princess
(Y/n)'s help with something. It appears to me that Macaron and Tiramie has put a heartsleeve fruit in my breakfast. Can I... please get an antidote?" I chuckled at her situation and nodded, "Of course I can help you. Let's go to my room." Getting up, I thanked Latifa and me and Isuzu walked to my room.

Along the way I kept jesting her on how clumsy she was, and Isuzu replied that she swears on her life she'd never let anyone do the same to me or Latifa. When we got to my room, I pushed a shelf containing my school study books to the side. I then outlined a part of the wall with my fingers until I found a small indent. In a swift movement I opened a control panel and entered a password. This was only the technological security, as a mage I had much more verifications to be done.

My secret library opened itself, but there was a magic barrier separating me and Isuzu from the information. In another quick movement, this time casting a small spell that I created for mechanisms to identify me, I opened the barrier. Skipping to the library with excitement, Isuzu stood embarrassed that I went through the trouble of opening my library for her.

"Hee hee~ I finally have an excuse to see the one thing I'm protecting." I say with happiness. There were magical records everywhere, and a few cauldrons and areas to cast spells. Isuzu was shocked at the amount of information that was hidden behind my bookshelf. Anyone would be. She was aware that it existed, but she never got to see it.

"Ah... let's see... it was the heartsleeve fruit, right?" I ask, taking out a book on fruits with their own spells. Isuzu confirms, "Yes." "I usually don't deal with these types of spells..." I state, as I finally found the page. "I'm sorry you have to go through this much trouble." She says, looking down and feeling out of place. "No, no. Don't worry about it. Tiramie probably figured out how to make a heartsleeve tree and planted it recently." I reply, walking to a different area to get some materials.

I created a pair of gloves for my hands, and took a pink twig from a box. I also created a rainbow tonic, and poured the ingredients into a cauldron. Which was again nothing in my range of expertise, but something I can manage. Snapping, a fire started underneath the container, and I mixed it with my glove. Isuzu picked up a cup nearby and says, "You really possess many talents, you should feel honored." I gave her a small smile and scooped some of the solution.

Keeping it in my hand firmly, I ask, "One more thing. How do you feel about Seiya?"
