(18) In Sync

I smirk, "You're right. Oh no! Seiya!," I latch myself onto him, "What ever shall I do? Please protect me and fix it!"
     Before he could respond in embarrassment or with a clever response of his own, the aforementioned people walked in.
     Seiya stiffened, but gently patted my head, "It'll be alright," he mustered a smile.
     He turned to Isuzu, "Sento, the situation."
     She, Latifa, and a few of the lesser known mascots stepped in, "Tiramie, Macaron, and Lord Moffle are looking for ways to break into the castle. But due to how we set up the security, I believe it will be impossible to deactivate it through those means."
     I fake a worried look, "It looks extremely dangerous, shouldn't they withdraw instead?"
     "Those mascots can withstand anything. They're magical," Seiya replies sarcastically to me.
     "B-but!"
     "Can we communicate with the ones inside? Muse's group is in there, right?"
     "It seems they have access to the internet, but they can't leave the room they're in."
     "Sheesh."
     "In any case, it can't be bypassed by normal means."
     "Will it keep going until we do something?"
     "No, it's programmed to shutdown after 24 hours. It looks like our only choice is waiting. We'll have to shutdown the park tomorrow."
     Annnnddd as expected Seiya shouts, "Are you of your mind!? We're finally starting to attract more visitors! Tomorrow is Saturday too!"
     I put on a confused mask, "We can't just... section that part of the park off? I know it's dangerous, but Seiya is correct. At this point every guest we get is vital."

     "Heh. Sheesh, what will you guys to without me?" Moffle smugly replied through the intercom.
     I raise my brow. Hm... he won't get far... it'd take a professional wizard to penetrate those cannons. Still, this will be amusing.~

     One thunder god's wave of destruction later and the main mascots were bandaged in the control room as well. Huddled over a desk I try to control my laughter as I 'scan' documents pertaining to the castle's defense.
     As I continue to shake, Isuzu brings up the emergency shutdown switch. Yes, yes, the emergency shutdown switch. Here reader-chan, I'll explain it to you. After all, it must've been a while since you've watched Amaburi.

     The emergency shutdown switch can only be activated after four people complete a series of trials. It just so happens that the Elementario Fairies are composed of four people, and the trials involve singing, dancing, typing, and a final trial that tests their bond; the last trial is a matter of life or death. Through these trials, that participants will learn how to communicate, coordinate, their strengths and weaknesses, but most importantly, they'll see the bond they possess. The light at the end of the tunnel is they come out a better group. But in the case that they don't... it's probably for the best they don't continue... period.

     "Really!? Problem solved then! Muse's group can turn it off from the inside," I cheer with my hands together.
     Isuzu shook her head, "It requires four...." You already know~
     "Huh. Well, I'm sure they can do it. At the end of this situation they'll come out closer than ever, right? They just have to persevere!" I reply, trying to keep the morale up.
     Seiya visibly put two-and-two together, "Oh! I understand now."
     He looks at me with understanding and trust, and I smile in return.
     "Is there something Amamiya-chan and Kanie aren't telling us?" Tiramie asks.
     Macaron loudly whispers, "I don't think so. It's just that Kanye's a total coward who's scared and Amamiya-chan is comforting him."
     "HEY!"

     We watched their trials. Every high-and-low, and every second of character development.

     "Woah I can see their bones," Seiya says with the most interested and innocent expression.
     I stifle my laughter, hiding my head on Seiya's shoulder.
     "That's terrible!" I say, really, really, trying to hold it in.

     "Mochi, anyone?" I offer as rice flour got poured on the fairies.
     Seiya immediately grabbed a few, and the others passed it around.
     "Amamiya-chan is such a nice girl.~"
     "Hey..." Moffle warned over-protectively.
     "This is good, like everything you cook," Seiya says, taking more.
     :) My lips curved. It made me happy to keep him happy... yes... that statement is a true fact about me.

"Awww! What a happy ending!" I say with my hands on my cheeks all dreamily as the group celebrated.
"I've got to say, I'm kinda disappointed," Macaron replies.
I ignored him and leaned even more on Seiya, "It all worked out, didn't it?"
He looked amazed at the screen. The once uncoordinated group finally had their hearts in sync.
Seiya smiles, "I guess so...," he carcasses my face and we both share small smiles.
"Ahem. I'll be sending everyone except the rescue team to fix the castle now. Amamiya-san, your highness, it's getting late. Please return to your living quarters," Isuzu says, stopping Seiya before he could get closer.
"Oh, that's right. Seiya, you live rather far, want to come home with me instead?"
He quickly nods and Moffle gives him a look full of murderous intent.

Sleep is so much nicer these days~

The Elementario Fairies continued as a group, and their performance improved drastically.
With a beautiful orange and rose sunset painting the sky, Latifa, Isuzu, and I had tea. Isuzu discusses the improvements since the Elementario Fairies' 'trials,' and that we were seeing better days at the park.
"This is wonderful news! We may truly experience a miracle."
"I think we already are. Seiya has changed the direction of the park entirely," I smile, sipping my milk tea.
Isuzu sat in silence which caused Latifa to get uncomfortable.
Knowing what Isuzu wanted to hear, Latifa says, "Both of you, please don't tell Kanie-sama about that."
Isuzu immediately responds, "Right."
Though, I take a moment to ponder. What if he does ask? Should I tell him? Would it be better to keep it a secret?
Latifa notices and says, "Please,
(Y/n)?"
"I don't know if I can. But I'll keep your intentions in mind..." I reply, knowing I'd do what's best for Seiya. Whether it's withholding this information or telling him.

Keeping him happy... makes me happy....
