Chapter Three: Rising Phoenix

Y/n Pov.

It had been a couple of days since the fight with Raynare, so Asia had already moved in with me and was enrolled into the school. Asia had become a Devil and also joined Rias' peerage which I did as well but I'm still human thankfully. But that's all in the near past now, so now I was awoken at 6:30 a.m. doing my usual morning routine. Finishing preparing myself, I head over to the kitchen to make some breakfast for my roommate and I.

"You seem to be somewhat happier."

"So what if I am?"

"Nothing, it's great to see you not moping around."

"Thanks I guess? We'll cause I get to be with people who know about me and also be cool. But I have questioned if it was a good idea to join another groupie."

"In my opinion, no, I'm a dragon who is known to be self isolated beings. But if joining these groups makes you happy then I'm alright with it."

"Aw! You do care about me."

"Keep yourself delusional."

I laughed at his comment that he does care about me in his own tsundere way. Finishing the food I was preparing, I noticed that I had gotten filthy. Noticing it's barely about to be 7, I head over to take a quick shower and or bath. Getting my clothes set I entered the bath letting the water slide off my body. I sat there contemplating about this new life that I get to live.

"Living my new life with these Devils ain't so bad." I thought to myself as a smile ran across my face. Leaning against the tiled wall I begin washing my hair. "Also living with a girl who in association is a friend is also kind of fun." I thought this as I rinsed my hair as Asia comes to mind. "She's such a nice girl who had a rough life, she deserves to have some friends."

Washing my body, slowly rubbing my body beginning off easy then starting to go rough against my skin. "No matter the cost I will protect her and everyone else close to me." I balled my hand into a fist then released all the tension. Finishing off my bath I walk out in fresh clean clothes noticing that it's barely about to be 7:10. Right as I got out Asia had gotten out of her room, she looked like she just woke up from a good sleep.

Greeting her with a wave I said "Hey Asia, how are you doing?" Before she responded she yawned very cutely. I may add "Hi Y/n, I'm good and you?"

"Well I'm doing mighty fine thank you for asking. I glad to see you slept well, I made some breakfast if you want some."

She smiled at me "Yes please." She entered the washroom doing her stuff as I set out our food. Exiting the washroom she came over and sat at the dining table. I handed her the plate full of food and I had a mug of morning Joe. Her eyes lit up from the first bite scarfing down the food.

"It's really good!" She squealed as she enjoyed the meal. "Oh stop it, don't make me blush." I intended this as a joke but Asia ended up actually blushing. "Hey when you're done we should start heading out." She nodded as she finished off her remaining food. I drank the rest of my coffee as I looked through my phone.

She ran into her room grabbing her bag as I got up standing at the door. She came at lightning speeds as she said "Okay let's go." and so we headed out the door walking to the school. While walking I asked her "Did you get excited on your first day of school?"

She retorted "I am but I'm really nervous." I patted her shoulder trying to ease her worries "That's understandable, but I'll be there almost every step of the way. I'll always be here for you." This made her blush as she silently thanked me while I smiled back at her. She began walking closer to me which made me blush as well.
