Chapter Twenty-Three: Finishing off the Day

Jackson Pov.

Y/n just knocked down the two golems with such ease that I was honestly impressed, I know that he's powerful and all but that was just bad-ass. Emi scoffed at it whispering  "fucking show-off." I still didn't understand their hatred for each other as I didn't even know they knew each other. I noticed that the army of skeletons were horrified as they should be. I prepared my magic, setting my speed at it's highest. I shot myself forward with my axe swinging at each of the bones breaking and knocking them around. As my momentum began to fade, I jumped up and dropped a small explosive to finish it off.

Emi was using her energy whips to grab and swing the skeletons, she was muttering to herself as she made herself work. I then hear another echoing slam as one of the golems had gotten up and Y/n knocked it into a hill. He charged up his arms igniting the night sky with large flames that towered over us all. He shouted "SKY FALL!!" The flames dropped as drops of water but these burned like magma. The drops were not small but large globs of chucks falling burning through the golem leaving it full of holes. 

I then saw the other golem this one had lost it's arm before I arrived, it was swung its arm trying to swat Y/n out of the air like a fly. Before the arm made contact, Y/n bursts into flames flying around the arm slicing through it's skin. He was quick like a bolt of lightning traveling through out the body. Reaching its head the golem tried to send a large energy sphere to kill Y/n. 

He quickly caught on and grabbed a hold of the sphere. "Well, well, well! It seems that you want to hurt little old me! Here let me help you with that." He then began boosting the already enormous sphere, pumping it forcing it to expand far beyond its limit. The golem tried to stop him but with the sphere expanded in his mouth it watched in horror as he pushed it further into its mouth. 

Y/n jumped back dropping quickly as the golem began to glow blue like its once enormous sphere. An echoing bass explosion was heard, blowing large chunks of the golem far and wide. "Whoa! I really hate him." Emi watched as Y/n jumped from Skeleton to Skeleton to reach us. He smashed and bashed through them like tissue paper. 

A large animal skeleton charged over at us "Emi quick finish!" She nodded holding her whips close by waiting for the beast to get within range. "Come on!" Each one of it's steps drew closer to where they were within kicking range. She wrapped her whips around the two front legs throwing them to the side to meet back in the middle. This was where I was, I grabbed each of the whips as I pulled back to force the beast to flip forward.

Emi took this chance to use her two gauntlets to shoot out small orbs that attached to the beasts back. It then began to implode leaving it in a pile of bones. "Well that was fun."

"Yeah but look!" I pointed over to Y/n who was ramming through groups of bones. They shattered and scattered through the plains leaving us in awe. Well I was Emi ran over to prove herself.

"Oh you fucker!" 

She then retracted the whips into blades that held strong as energy swords. She then began to rip and tear through each of the bones that got in her way. "Wow." I stood there as two teens tried to over do the other. "I guess it's my turn." I held my duel axes as I stood in sprinting position. Bursting through groups of bones I was easily having each of their skulls in pieces. 

I was able to meet up with Y/n as our backs smashed against one another. "Hey, I think my partner is trying to out do you." He laughed "Ha that wench could never out do me." He then flew into the sky twice the height I was then his armor began to glow red then green. The snaps of lightning and the crackling of fire sounded as I watched him boost the power.
