Taehyung walked into the house with bags of clothes and objects in his hand for Christmas for Jungkook. He thought that Jungkook would be asleep right now because he got here early, but he didn't expect to see Jungkook on his computer with papers all over him. His bloodshot eyes widened when he saw Taehyung walking in.
"Jungkook! Were you up all night?!" He ran to the boy and pulled him into his arms. Jungkook tried to deny it even though that would be lying. "Stop lying. Why are you on amazo—" Jungkook slammed his laptop shut so Tae can't see what he was buying for the boy.
Tae looked disappointed which made Jungkook upset. "Go.Sleep.Now" Jungkook sighed as he stood up, taking the papers and heading to his room. Tae was upset that his hyung would spend all night doing random stuff.
Jungkook waddled back to his room and laid down with the papers being laid on the end table. Tae, on the other hand had sighed feeling his body weight fall onto the leather couch. "Why did he do that?" Curiosity filled in Taehyung's mind about this. Jungkook has never stayed up all night by himself. The only time he does it is when he is with him.
Jungkook didn't sleep. He just sat on the bed writing more ideas on a piece of paper. It wasn't healthy. But if it's for Tae, he is the healthiest he can be. He heard footsteps go towards his room. Jungkook thought it might be Tae, but the door opened revealing Namjoon walking it, fixing up his brown beret in the process. "Seokie, Jinnie, and I are going to go on our first date. Is it fine if we come back after?" Jungkook smiled, nodding.
"Of course! Just tell me 10 minutes before you get here, so I know." Namjoon walked more towards Jungkook and have him a warm hug. "I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have you and everyone else to keep me happy this December." Namjoon wiped an ingrowing tear with the pad of his thumb.
Jungkook cooed. "No need to worry, Joonie. You're apart of our family. And I'm glad. Come give me a hug before you head out." Namjoon gave the younger another hug as Seokjin and Hoseok walked in, interrupting them. "Joonie~ Lets go!" Namjoon nods, leaving the hug and running towards the two.
Taehyung walked in after seeing Jungkook sitting up with open eyes. Not closed one. "Kook. I told you to sleep! What's so important for you to be up all night! Of course if you'd care, you'd tell me—" "Sleep in the guest room tonight!" Jungkook barked out. It scared Tae. He's never done that. "What do you me—" "I said sleep in the guest room!"
The younger shivered. He nodded, leaving the room with a frown on his face. He felt like crying. Jungkook has never lashed out at him. Nor as he ever made Tae sleep in another room that's not his. He ran to a spare guest room and fell onto the bed. Tears escaped his eyes as it soaked the fresh white sheets.
"What have I done?" Jungkook pulls his hair harshly. Taehyung is sensitive, he should know that by now. Tae is probably curled in a ball thinking that he did something wrong. And that's exactly what he was doing.
"He doesn't like you anymore. You're a burden! He's probably wanted to do that for a long time now! He hates me!" He sobbed loudly which brought the attention to Jungkook. "I'll let the plans pause for tonight." He walked over to the guest room and saw the pouted Taehyung. "W-What are you doing here. Y-You don't want to s-see me anymore. M-Maybe you're telling me to leave. I-I'll go, sorry for being a burden...."
Jungkook sighed, taking Tae's waist and pulling him close to him. "I didn't mean to lash out at you. I just needed to work on it. It's for you! And I wanted it to be a surprise.." Taehyung's eyes bulged out. "I'm so sorry! I didn't think about that! Tae, you're such an idio—" Jungkook kisses Taehyung, pulling him down on the bed. He had Tae below him with his hands holding onto Taehyung's. "You are not an idiot Taetae. Let's just sleep in here tonight. Me and you." Tae let out a small smile come out from the corners of his lips.
"I love you." "I love you too."
The fell asleep in each other's arms. The guest room was nice. Slightly different from where they usual sleep. But nice. Asking Taehyung out is needed. But keeping the boy happy is needed more. Even if that means delaying his confession.
