"Bruce I said no, she can't have chocolates before bed nor can you bribe her or give in to her every wish." Elizabeth Wayne said into the phone as she rode the back of the limo that she was in, usually she would drive herself but after a day of standing and in meetings back in Gotham city, she thought it better to take the limo, "But she's giving me those puppy eyes." Her older brother sighed into the phone, Bruce Wayne was a playboy, millionaire, business man with a side of super-hero vigilante but when it came to his niece he was a complete softie, any and everything she desired he would give her in a heart beat, meanwhile Elizabeth was a mother, millionaire and a business woman with a side of guardian angel, for those she cared for.
"Don't give into them, she will ruin you." The brunette warned with a certain playful tone that made the older man chuckle slightly, "I know, you used the same look and you ruined me." he told the brunette who blushed bashfully, "Ohh stop it!" she mumbled, her teeth gnawing her bottom lip as she tried to contain a smile, "Look I have to go, I'll put her to bed early, then tend to business." Bruce said, "Try not to dislocate any bones while I'm gone. Remember I'm not there to help you locate them back into place." She warned his with her usual motherly tone that made the older man smile on the other side of the call.
"No promises, Love you sis." he told her sweetly, "Right back at you Bruce." the brunette said, quickly ending the call shortly after, "Everything alright Miss?" the driver asked as he heard Elizabeth sigh deeply as he held her phone in one hand. "I'm tired that's all." She smiled at the man who nodded and told her, "We are almost there Miss. Just down the street." Elizabeth's eyes flew wide open like saucers as she heard the distance and quickly reached for the window to look outside, indeed they were just down the street of the Manor that she called her second home.
She watched as they passed the gates and went all the way up to the manor, the driver stopped and the butler opened her door, "Evening Miss. Elizabeth." he greeted, "Evening Julian." she smiled as she took his hand and stepped out of the limo gracefully, clutching her purse and phone on the other hand, Julian led Elizabeth to the door, opening it for her and allowing her to step inside the dry and warm entrance, the sweet scent of the manor cloaking her like a warmth blanket.
She then quickly made her way to the dinning room where she heard Tommy Merlyn talking, a small smile made it's way up to her face at his voice, he was an old friend of hers, for 11 years. "I do hope that you aren't boring our guest with boring unimportant details." she said as she neared the door, 4 laughs were heard in the room along with a chair being pulled back, when the brunette finally entered the room her eyes wandered from the married couple to her friends then to the man that she had heard was dead 5 years ago. Her throat closed in shock, her jaw fell and her eyes grew twice their size, her hand unknowingly let go of her phone and purse, letting it clatter against the hardboard as she gasped out.
"Oliver..."
