February 12, 1985, fire blazed through the luxurious Regent of Manila hotel early morning killing more than a dozen people, and forcing guests to leap from windows.

Twenty more others were reported injured in the pre-dawn fire,as firefighters battled for more than eight hours before declaring the fire out.

Apparently, the dead victims of the fire were said to have been relocated to the 5th floor of the Philippine National Bank, where it was said to be temporarily used as a morgue. Stories of ghosts roaming around the fifth floor were often told, which forced the tenants to permanently remove the number 5 button in the elevators. A series of exorcisms were said to have been conducted in the building.

Tenants of the building say that the floor is so haunted that the number five has been removed from the elevator buttons, and word has it that an exorcism had to be done earlier this year.
