The students at New Hope High School was all about football. They should be proud of their team because they are actually good. The coyotes were going to the championship for the fouth time to actually win this time. The other three times they went they ended up losing to their rivels, the wolves, but not this time.
The buses loaded up with the players and cheerleaders while the students followed the buses in their own cars. They made it to the school and put on their gear and when it was game time the coyotes were off.
They played a really good game; fighting to win. It was 20-15 in the fourth quarter with James Polk winning. They had to get one touchdown to win it all. Nick, the quarterback said, "Down, set. Blue 21, Blue 21, hut, hut." The ball was released and Nick got ready to throw it with ten seconds left on the clock. Nick threw it to Sam who was the reciever and he caught it with three seconds left and made it for a touchdown. They finally won against the wolves. The crowd stood on their feet and cheered and so did the players on the field.
Everyone made their way back to the school for a party. Sam, Nick, Cole, Alex, and Ben finally left the party and as they were almost home a huge truck swerved in their lane and hit them; their car went up in flames. The five guys died that night.
At the funeral everyone was crying. The whole football team and the entire school was there plus family. The preacher started talking, "This is the saddest day we have ever had. No one wants to get a phone call saying their child, friend, or sibling has died. Nobody not even parents should have to go through that." He paused for a while and then continued, "Everyone loved these five kids. We all looked up to them as a football player and as a regular person who could make anyone smile when they are down. We all loved them and we will never forget them. May they rest in peace." The preacher finished and some men rolled the caskets out and then later buried them in the ground.
The whole town was devestated over the loss. Nobody will ever be the same after this day. Not even football.

I know this was really short, but it's the prologue so it wasn't suppose to be long. I hope you like it.
