Chapter 2: My First Date

It was gettin late so Naruto was ready to go home. He tells Sasuke and the others and they realize what time it was. So they call it a day. They say their goodbyes and go home.

"Do you need a ride home Naruto?" Sasuke askes

"No thanks. I'll walk. I want to get some fresh air."

"Alright. See ya at school tomorrow."

"Alright. See ya tomorrow."

Naruto then walks out the door. He starts to walk home. As he's walking, he hears someone singing. He follows the sound of the beautiful voice and finds Hinata. He stands by a tree listening to her sing. When she came to a stop, she turns around to find Naruto watching her.

"Hey Naruto. How long have you been standing there?"

He replies "Oh, umm, I actually just got here. If you want I'll leave."

Naruto starts to leave but Hinata hurriedly stops him.

"Wait! You can stay if you want."

Naruto was shocked but he stayed with her. There was nothing but silence. After a few minutes, Naruto broke the silence by saying, "Hinata can I ask you something?"

"Sure. Anything."

Naruto then looked at her and asked

"What was that song you were singing?"

She looked at him and answered

"It was something my mom used to sing to me when I was a little girl. Why do you ask?"

Naruto then gave a smirk and said

" I asked because the song was beautiful. Your voice is as well."

The young blonde looked into her pale eyes and smiled. Hinata blushed and smiled back. Naruto looked at the dark sky and asked another question.

"Could you sing it to me?"

Hinata blushed more."Sure, I would love to."

Naruto smiled and laid his head on her lap. Hinata started to sing and play in the blondes hair. They both smiled and blushed. When Hinata finished the song, she noticed it was getting dark.

"I should get home. It's getting pretty late."

Naruto says "Okay. I'll walk with you."

"Okay. Thanks"

Naruto and Hinata start to walk home together. When they arrive at the Hyuga residence, Hinata thanks Naruto again.

"No problem."

Naruto starts to blush and scratches his head. Before she walked away, Naruto asked her a question.

"Would you like to, uh, go on a, umm, date with me, sometime."

Hinata smiled and blushed.
