Chapter 21: It's Time

HInata pushed her bangs from her face and behind her ears when one of the twins, Kam, had ran his fingers through her hair. She shifted uncomfortably and looked up only to make eye contact with Naruto. The blonde had been shaking his leg, nipping his lip, and clenching his fist out of anger & jealousy. Hinata glanced to the side.

She wouldn't admit it, but she missed the blonde. She missed being next to him and having him by her side. All in all, she was till upset with him for using the F word with her. 

~~~Hinata POV~~~

I made eye contact with Naruto for a few seconds before I glanced away and pushed Kameron's hand out of my hair. Who did he think he was touching me in any way at all?

"Stop." I say calmly looking at him, no emotion written in my eyes whatsoever

"Oh?" He smirked which confused me "What if I don't?" He asked, putting his hand in my hair once again

I slapped his hand out of my hair and glared at him doing so. "I'm not in the mood for your bullshit Kameron. Leave me alone." I let out a sigh of frustration

What he did next was unexpected. Kameron glared at me and yanked my hair, nearly making me fall out of my seat. I squealed and before I knew it, Naruto came rushing over. I couldn't see what happened or how it happened, all I know is that when I looked up, Kameron was fighting Naruto. 

I had never seen Naruto act so protectively... well that one time before, but still, it was shocking.

Sakura was kneeling next to me, making sure I was okay. I had been rubbing my head where he yanked my hair... I hope he didn't pull any hair out. 

"Hinata.. are you okay?" Sakura asked

I nodded in response and lightly pushed her aside, wanting to stop Naruto from fighting the other. "Naruto.. stop it.. please.." I yelled out to him, but I know he couldn't hear me do to all the cafeteria noise.

It didn't help that people started to record the fight and surround the two. People bumped into me. I couldn't process all this.. it was too much. I began to panic, breathing heavily as well.

Before I knew it... I felt something wet run down my leg almost as if I was peeing on myself, but  I wasn't.

I.. think my water just broke. I feel a wave of pain hit out of nowhere. I tried to hold in a scream, but it was futile. I kneel down, holding my stomach and leaning on a nearby table. Neji notices me and runs over quickly along with Sakura. 

"Hinata.. What's wrong?" Neji asks

"I..It's time Ne..ji.." I pant out heavily, grabbing his hand tightly and squeezing. I could see him wince doing so, but I didn't care. He can handle it.

~~~Neji POV~~~

I wince as my sister squeezes the life out of my hand. She was really in pain from this, I couldn't imagine any of this. What irritates me even more is the fact that Naruto is focused on fighting this asshole. I have to get his attention somehow.

I gesture for Sasuke and he immediately got the hint when he looked at Hinata. The raven made his way through the crowd quick, fast, and in a hurry and yelled at his best friend.

"Hey! Dobe! Your girlfriends in labor!" he yelled only for Naruto to quickly look back at him

~~~Naruto POV~~~

I look back in Sasuke's direction and then glance around the room for Hinata. Upon seeing her hold onto Neji, I start to make my way to her when Kameron grabs me by my shirt and yanks me back, swinging.

He missed as I dodged and tackled him. "Damnit! Fuck off!" I yell in frustration before yanking him away from myself and bolting through the crowd to get to Hinata.

"Naruto.. I..it hurts.. so bad.." she panted out, grabbing the hem of my shirt and tugging at it to help keep her balance. I take hold of her arm, one hand on her back as I walk her out of the cafeteria and to the front gates. Turns out, someone had already called an ambulance for her and we hop in immediately. I toss my keys to Neji as he was the closest to me.

"Take care of my car!" I yelled to him as the doors shut.

We were in the hospital, Hinata laying down on the hospital bed moaning and groaning in pain. I couldn't stand seeing her like this, even if she was upset with me. In the room, there was Sasuke, Sakura, and myself. The doctors said that only two could visit at a time because they didn't want her to be too crowded or overwhelmed. When it was time to give birth, there could only be two people in the room with her.

Of course I would be there, I'm the father of the unborn baby. I assume Neji would be the other person considering he was the only other family. Hinata was crying out and asking for more medicine to soothe the pain she was feeling course through her body. It was sickening if you ask me.. the way she wanted to puke, but only heaved. 

Soon after Sakura and Sasuke left, Shikamaru and Temari came in. They wished her good luck and brought flowers, sitting them on the little movable table thing where food would usually sit. I knew for a fact Hinata was suffering. She complained about being hungry, but couldn't eat until an hour or so after the birth. 

Once Shika and Temari left, in came Kiba and Ino. Kiba had no idea how to act, it would be safe to say he was panicking more than I was. Ino tried calming Hina, but that was futile. Hinata tried her best to ignore the contractions she was feeling, but every once in a while she would groan and moan in pain. The two ended up leaving about 30 minutes, waving us off. 

Five hours so far.

Five hours of being in labor.

Exactly how long will this take?

Last came Neji and TenTen. "Neji, I swear if you get me pregnant, I'm going to kill you." TenTen playfully hit Neji.

Naji rolled his eyes "Whatever. We're having kids though whether you want them or not."

"I think you two would be great parents." Hinata laughed softly at the two before standing and getting out of bed, walking around and pacing slowly. 

"Is it okay for you to be up right now?" TenTen asked

I nodded, answering the question for her "Yea. Doctors said it was better for her to move around a little every once in a while so that it would help speed the process even by a little." 

"Naruto you look pretty calm." Neji stated, crossing his arms as he took a seat in one of the chairs

"I have no choice. I can't panic, especially now. I gotta keep a cool and collected head for her." 

"Understandable."

TenTen eventually left, pecking Neji's lips. She said something about having to meet with some friends for a homework date or something like that. I stayed seated next to Hinata as she would squeeze my hand lightly every few minutes. "Don't worry babe. I'm not going anywhere." I whispered quietly to her

She then looked at me with half opened eyes, a weak smile spreading across her lips doing so. "Naru.. I'm sorry.." She spoke quietly

I was confused, what exactly was she apologizing for? "What do you mean? You have nothing to be sorry for."

"I do.." she paused, squeezing my hand once again "I'm sorry for being such a bitch to you." 

I couldn't help but to chuckle at her response "Hina.." I ran my fingers through her long thick hair "I understand why you were upset with me. You don't have to apologize for anything... Now just close your eyes and relax. Get some rest until it's time to push." I tried to joke about it a bit, getting a small laugh out of Hinata.
