Chapter 17: All About Them

"Its a boy!! Yes! Whoooooo!" He couldn't help himself but be happy. Hinata was smiling brightly and tears were falling down her face. She was so happy. Naruto saw this and kissed her gently, holding her cheeks and hugging her.

Two months left until the initial birth. Two months and a lot of planning. This young family has a lot to get through before the baby gets here.

~~Present~~Naruto's POV~~

I can't believe this is really happening. We're going to have a little boy.. It has always been my dream to become a father. The downside of that though is the fact that I was not ready just yet; I'm only 19 years old. 

I could see the joy illuminating from Hinata, so I hugged her and kissed her with as much love and joy that I had. Only two more months until it's time to have our baby. The excitement I was feeling couldn't be described through words..... but the fear was on the same level, maybe even on a higher level than my excitement.

I just hope I can be a great father.

Seeing everyone's happy faces and smiles, I push all these thoughts to the back of my mind. I have something to say and I am determined to get this out right here and now. I glance at Sasuke and he grabs everyone's attention for me.

"Hey everybody! Attention please!" He then looks back at me along with everyone else's glances now focused on me

I inhale deeply, closing my eyes then re-opening them before speaking. "I want to thank each and every one of you for being here and supporting Hinata and I. I thank you all for being there for us when no one else was..."

I turned to Hinata "..and thank you for never giving up on me and staying with me even through our tough times. You never turned the other way and was always patient with me even when I didn't give you all the time in the world like I should have. I put my duties as a musician before you, yet you waited patiently for me. I really appreciate you and everything you've ever done for me in the past, in the present, and in the future." 

~~Hinata's POV~~

Why all of this all of a sudden? It was heartwarming, yet unexpected. What was Naruto's motive behind this heartfelt speech.?

I couldn't help but to smile while he praised me and thanked me. I loved this man so much, words could never explain how much I loved Naruto. I grabbed his hands, holding them as I stared into his oceanic blue eyes with my pale grey ones, but what happened next was beyond me.

Naruto got down on one knee, reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small black suede box. He glanced up at me, tears running down my cheeks at this point. Bringing my hands up to my cheeks, I wiped my tears but the river they made just kept coming. 

I looked at Neji. It was obvious he knew what was happening considering he gave me a smirk then nodded. 

Naruto opened the tiny box to reveal a red interior. In the middle was a diamond ring that shone bright. "Hinata Hyuga.. You are my world. You have brought me so much joy and happiness. I want to spend the rest of my life with you and grow with you. Will you do me the honors of marrying me?" 

~~Author's POV~~

Hinata looked around the room, seeing every single one of their friends smiling brightly with the exception of Sasuke and Neji. They had their arms crossed and were smirking as they watched the two lovers. Sakura had tears forming in her eyes along with TenTen. 

Naruto had gotten permission months before to have Hinata's hand in marriage through Neji. He was the closest to Hinata's guardian than her father was. He practically disowned her for choosing whom she loved over him. 

Naruto cleared his throat anxiously waiting for Hinata's answer. In order to lighten the mood, he gave his signature smile "This is the part where you say 'yes'." He joked

Hinata nodded, her smile bright doing so "Yes.. Yes.. A thousand times Yes." 

Naruto placed the ring on her finger and stood up, and immediately hugged her burying his face in her neck and taking in her sweet scent as they embraced each other. He then pulled away from the hug and placed his hand on her warm cheek. Naruto then placed a gentle kiss on her lips.

The room was soon filled with cheers of joy and congratulations from their friends. Once the two pulled away from the kiss, they were crowded by their friends... well Hinata was practically snatched from Naruto and pulled into a crowd of girls squealing, hugging, and laughing. Naruto walked over to his group of guys scratching his head and smiling. 

"Congratulations. I'm a best man right?" Kiba laughed, ruffling the blondes hair playfully

"Of course man. Who else if it isn't you guys.." The blonde responded laughing before glancing at Neji

"Hey.. Looks like we're gonna be brothers." Naruto joked 

"I thought we were already at that point." Neji responded "Besides, I gave you permission to have my sisters hand in marriage.. Don't make me regret my decision."

"I won't. Trust me."

Hey everyone.! I am so sorry I haven't published any new chapters in months. I am so so so sooooo sorry about that. I've recently started college as a freshman and the load of work is ridiculous. It's summer break as of now but I still have work on top of that. Most of my time will be with work and writing/updating this and other books I want to re-publish. 

I also want to apologize for this short chapter as well. 

I will start immediately on the next chapter and get that publish soon!
