Chapter 10

- RECAP - 

"Hi, I am Doctor Rivera. "

"Hi"

"I am very sorry about the situation that Mr. Johnson is in. Right now He is in a medically induced coma, he also on a ventilators. Now The gun shot to the head did cause major bleeding and it did cause his brain to swell. We were able to get that pressure down and to save his life we had to put him in a coma. The chances that he will wake up from this coma are slim to none. Again I am sorry and if there is anything I can do please don't hesitate to ask"

I was standing but I had completely collapsed onto the floor and just cried. That was all I could do right now. The door opened and Rico walked in with a piece of paper in his hand.

"Aye Bree it's gonna be okay" He helped me up and sat next to me on the couch. 

"You are going to want to read this. Its for all of y'all"

"Thank you" 

"No problem sis" He gave me a hug and left. 

"Hey mama J, I'll be back in the morning"

"Okay sweetie , I'll see you tomorrow. Everything will be fine" I wanted so bad to agree with her but I knew everything was not going to be fine. We hugged and I took a look at Jaeda who hadn't moved. I walked out the door and Kendal got up and met me.

"Dorian"

"ma'am"

"Go get my daughter and take care of her because she is going through it right now"

"I will" I felt Kendal squeeze hand, he just reassured me that he will be here for me.

"Hey you ready to go" I shook my head yes and held the letter close to my heart with one hand and held Kendal's hand with the other.

Breelyn P.O.V.

I had already showered and ate a few bites of a salad. I was now sitting on the floor with my glasses on and my curly hair all over the place. Kendal was tired so he was already in bed sleeping. 

I opened the letter and prepared myself for what I was about to read. 

Bree if you are reading this you probably have figured out that I am dead. Breelyn you are still my world but you need someone to make you happy. I screwed up our relationship, you and I both know this. You will be happier with somebody else. Somebody else who isn't as fucked up as I am. I will always love you Breelyn. Take care of my kids baby and the twins. Let them know their dad loved them and always cared for them.

Jaeda - You are my princess baby girl. You were my first born and nobody and nothing can take the special place you have in my heart. Never forget me baby girl. I love the young lady you have grown into and I want nothing but the best for you. Stay in school and graduate get a job and find a husband. Don't be dating all those little thugs, your mom and I want whats better for you. I love you Princess ♥

Harlem - I remember when you were born. I had a son, my first son. I was so happy and I loved you unconditionally. Your father Harlem was a great boyfriend and step in father for Breelyn and Jaeda. He saved Jaeda's life and I have nothing but respect for your father. Don't get caught up in the streets Harlem, do something with your life. Find somebody you can make a family with and have me some grand kids. Your father, Harlem and I love you and don't forget that. You the coolest kid I know. You have an amazing mom and two fathers who will be looking over you in heaven. Don't think that I didn't love you, the words I said that day were out of anger and I'm sorry. I'm taking the coward way out of my problems, don't be a coward like me. Face life and live it to the fullest. I love you man ♥
