Ame's POV
Yanking myself out of bed, I threw on my high neck sleeveless white top, black leather skirt, and my ombré military fur lined coat.
Strapping on my wrist blades before slipping on my blue crystal pendent and into my white over-the-knees boots.
Just as I closed the old cherry wood door of my room, a blast rang throughout the base. "What the hell?" I blurted out loud before dashing to the source.
Once I got to the source of the blast, which was Mine's room, I stared at the scene and let out a frustrated sigh.
With her Teigu pointed at Tatsumi, while in her underwear, Mine's face was twisted in an embarrassed and pissed off look. 'Idiot.' I mentally concluded, putting the puzzle pieces together and realized the situation.
Turning on my heel, I walked away as the two argued and another blast was shot at the idiot.
Finally starting with the mission, I walked through the capital, with Mine next to me and Tatsumi not too far behind-lost in his thoughts.
After the two argued a bit, we continued on with the assignment, we entered an alley since two guys were picking on a weak refugee girl; lavender haired child.
After Mine insulted the men, Tatsumi cut their belts and the whips ran off with their tails between their legs.
"U-Um, thank you-" the girl was abruptly cut off by Mine. "Don't thank me. You need to learn hot to protect yourself."with that, my pink haired comrade walked on.
Tatsumi walked off after her. I walked over to the lavender haired girl and looked into her lavender eyes as I threw my coat over her shoulders. "There's a map in the pocket, follow the red marked path on it. It'll lead you to a place that takes good care of children like you. There's also enough money to help you along the way." I instructed the girl before standing up from my crouched position and walking on after the other two.
"Thank you, I'll grow up to be strong! Promise!" I heard the girl's quiet voice call out to me, I looked over my shoulder and waved good bye to her before continuing on my way.
I caught up with the other two just as Tatsumi asked a question. "...is it all right for us to walk around during the day?" He asked.
"Uh? Well, those four are the only ones whose faces have been seen." Mine answered and we stopped and looked over at a brick wall that had four wanted posters taped to them.
"Bulat looks different." I comment, noticing his picture on the wanted poster that was taped in the centred of the others. "Oh yeah, he does... A-Aniki?!" Tatsumi freaked.
"That's what he looked like when he was in the military. His changed his image after joining Night Raid." Mine clarified.
After making a scene, causing me to take two steps away from them, we carried on with the investigation of the capital city's condition.
The investigation felt more like Mine and Tatsumi on a date, whiles I just seemed like the friend that was forced to tag along. The crapes were good but the shopping was irritating.
Tatsumi ended up being the carrier boy for all the stuff Mine was buying while I had to be her robot wallet, at least this is all coming out of her's and Tatsumi's wallets and not mine.
I sat in my chair as I continued to eat my fruit tart whiles listening to Tatsumi and Mine 'talk'.
People started to gather a few stores down. Another public execution was happening.
Tatsumi's POV
We walked over and my eyes widened at the horrific sight. About 5 people were buckled to wooden crosses and were covered with blood and severe injuries.
Mine explained about the minister's doings on this whiles her bangs shod owed over her eyes. I looked from the corner of my eye and noticed that Ame's eyes seem to have darkened.
"Disgusting. I can't wait for him to fall." Ame muttered under her breath lowly, at a volume too quiet for anyone else but me and Mine to hear.
Time Skip
It's night and all I us were just sent out on a new assignment a few minutes ago.
The target: Lokal, is distantly related to Minister Onest.
Objective: Eliminate him and his five guards.
Waiting far away from the mansion, with Mine and Ame, I noticed Mine's gun. "Is that another of those Teigu's(Imperial Arms)?" I asked as she adjusted and checked it. "Yeah, Roman Artillery: Pumpkin." She answered, not stopping what she was doing. "The more of a pinch its user is in, the more its destructive power. Though I'm never in a pinch." She added.
"How do you even make something like that?" I mused out loud. "Teigu are ancient super weapons. And currently, it's unclear how they were made. You're really nosy, you know that?" She added.
Ame then readied her wrist blades. "Be ready for any attacks." Her mood changed from stoic to stern in a blink of an eye. Mine's concentration directs straight to where her target should be running out into whiles Ame's concentration directs to our surroundings, both their eyes darken a shad or two.
'Such amazing concentration. I can feel her drive from here.' I turn my head from Mine to Ame. 'Her concentration sharp too. It's like watching a lion or wolf readying for an attack on it's prey.'
No One's POV
After snipping the target from a significant distance, with one shot, Mine, Tatsumi and Ame made their way to the meeting point.
As they walked, Mine told the two about her past, since Tatsumi was wondering about it out loud.
Just a they reached the meeting point, a cherry blossom tree, Tatsumi pushed Mine out of the way from an enemy attack-getting hit in the face in the process.
Firing bullets, which the enemy dodged, Mine was about to be hit, Ame kicked the blonde man 8 yards away. "If you were once a master at Koukenji 10 years ago, then you've become weak. I've never felt such limp muscles collide with the bottom of my boots before." Ame insulted.
"Why you...." The man then charged, rage filling his eyes but was stopped by Tatsumi grabbing onto his torso. "Shoot him now! Mine!" He shouted.
Doing as asked, a hole was shot straight through the man heart. "Like I said, weak." Ame spat as the other two argued.
