No One's POV
Ame took down three of the five Horned Tigers whiles the last two of the Danger Beasts launched at Wave.
Water vapor held down the Horned Tigers that attacked Ame, large shards of ice rained down like a barrage of arrows being fired during a winning strike of war.
The beasts now all slayed and a dragon forming of ice carried Ame away before Wave could turn around to continue their unstated battle.
"*Sigh*... I hate doing this kind of thing—leaving before a fight can even begin—but that thing's blood is boiling over and I can't afford to lose control right now." Ame sighed out loud to herself as she flew back to the others.
Wave turned around with a determined look before it changed into a look of confusion and shock.
It takes him a few seconds to realize that his opponent had used the danger beasts’ appearance as a distraction to flee.
“DAMNIT!!!!” he shouted to the sky.
Ame’s POV
As we all made it back to the base, and Tatsumi explained to the others about the Jaeger. I listened attentively with the others, standing between the couch Akame’s sitting in and the single seat Lubbock is sitting in.
One thing bothers me, and that’s the fact that, according to Tatsumi, the Jaegers individually are about the same strength as us. Esdeath herself, of course, is on a whole other level.
I decided to lift the tension surrounding us. “Let’s have a ‘welcome back’ party for Tatsumi.” I said tonelessly with a clap of my hands. The others looked at me weirdly, seeing how I'm not usually the one to suggest these things, but soon ran around to hunt down all the booze in the whose base.
Everyone was laughing and even getting supper drunk. I just went to the kitchen and fixed up some snacks. I brought over a large tray with bowls of snacks and handed a glass of juice, and plate of meat, to Akame.
I was about to sit down when Lubbock grabbed my wrist and pulled me over to him, resulting in me sitting in his lap. “Ame… where arrre yoouw gowing…?” his words were slurred, childish even, and a pink tint was covering his face.
…he’s drunk…
“I was going to sit next to Mine.” I answered simply and tried to stand up but his arms—around my waist—kept me in place. “Sit heeere… pwease…?” he pouted and I simply sighed and relaxed on his lap, leaning my back against his chest. “Alright… you can be my chair then.” I said plainly and started to look around the room.
Leone was chugging a bottle—six more of them circling her as she sat down on the wooden floor.
Mine and Tatsumi were chatting and drinking, but passed out after about three to five shots.
Akame was drinking calmly on the couch.
A bottle was dangling in front of my face. “Drink up Ame!” Lubbock cheered and tilted the end of the open bottle to my mouth.
