"Over here!" Another flash
"Your majesty!" Another flash. Again and again.
I jolt awake blinded by imaginary flashes.

After the coronation it was pictures and dinner and signings and shootings. My head starts to pound and I groan remembering everything from last night. I still couldn't wrap my head around it all.

A loud knock makes me jump. I crash to the ground and let out a stream or curses. I push against the ground to get up but fall right back down and feel a sharp pain in my back of my head.

I reach up and feel blood then look at the corner of the dresser and see small red drops.

The person knocks again. I don't move, maybe they'll go away? Wrong.

The door opens and Amodio stands in the doorway. He looks around the room puzzled then his eyes fall on me and he shuts the door.

"Wanna help me up please?" I was not falling again. He steps around the bed and grabs my hand. He pulls me up and helps me sit before frowning at the blood.

"I'll get something for that" he enters the bathroom. I hear rummaging and within seconds he's back with a first aid kit I didn't even know existed.

The box is white naturally with big bold red letters that say FIRST AID. He pulls out some gauze and alcohol. He moves towards me but I shrink back.

He rolls his eyes "Come on hija it's just guaze"

He moves his head towards me again but this time I don't move. He presses the gauze to my temple and wipes at the blood.

"How long did you know?" He looks up at me and raises an eyebrow.

"That I was your daughter I mean" he pulls his hand away and closes the first aid kit.

"When I had Johnathan it was one of the best moment of my life... what I mean to say is" he clears his throat and looks to the ground, "I was there when you were born. I was there for most of your birthdays, well until you stopped having them.. the galas, the parties, even when they declared you to the mafia as a warrior."

"That's when I left" he folds his hands in his lap, "I found out you were my daughter when you were 15. I tried to be apart of your life but when I told your father I'd remain your Godfather and nothing more he refused me all rights to see you and by the time you were 16 I was out of your life."

"I wanted to see my little girl grow up instead I had to stay afar for years. You were a child and I wanted to take you away from them and give you the best life I could.. with love and compassion."

"Why didn't you take my away then?" I could hear anger in my voice even though I wasn't angry. I was annoyed. This man, my "father", could've given me a normal life but no he didn't.

"Madeline, where do you think my wife is?" He kisses my forehead and I let him. His kiss is soft and when he pulls away his eyes are a bit red. He sniffles and leaves the room.

"Amodio?" He stops by the door. "Where is she?"

He sighs and leaves the room without answering. I graze over the cut with my fingers, the blood finally dry.

Amodio was hiding something and I wanted to know what. I dress casually in black jeans with a matching biker jacket and sneakers.

Making my way down the steps I pass advisors and other families. They all address me as "your majesty." I know I'm supposed to be used to it but as I walk by each person I feel a strip of Madeline fade away.

The big brass handles to the study always scared me as a kid but not anymore. I push the doors open and find Atleast ten me sitting around a big square table. Dad sits on the end and looks shocked when I barge in.
