Alessandro's POV
"How are we supposed to find anything in here?" Michael asks trying to make his way through the over crowded cabin Madeline sent us to.
"I think that's the point" I laugh and move a stack of newspapers to the side of the room. "She sent us to a hoarder's home how convenient"
"What happened to your "its supposed to be this way attitude?" Michael asks me with a laugh.
I shrug "Do you think I will be a good father Michael?" I turn to him with a serious expression.
He places a hand on my shoulder and smiles " Probably the best"
"You're lying" We laugh and continue searching the house. We had been there for hours and soon even I was ready to give up.
We finally searched every nook and cranny in the living room, dining room, and kitchen, forcing us to move upstairs to the bedrooms.
Michael took on the two smaller bedrooms while I claimed the master bedroom. It was just as full as the rest of them, piles of junk reaching the ceiling and covering the floor. I search through the junk and look around the room for anything unusual.
I make a small circle around the room until my eye catches something. Sitting on the dresser is a small jewelry box. Sitting on top is a ballerina of some sorts, dust cakes the box but not the key hole on the side. I press my finger against the hole and press lightly. A small drawer from the side opens up revealing an old ring with the symbol of a dove engraved into the front of the ring.
I smile and take out my phone when it starts ringing. "Madeline?"
"Did you find it?" She asks me.
I smirk "Is it a ring with the insignia of a dove?" I hear her exhale in the background and laugh to myself.
"Please come home?" She asks me gently, almost trying not to alarm me.
"Whats wrong?" I ask her suddenly all the excitement and accomplishment I felt when I found the ring was replaced with worry.
"Nothing, I just need to see you thats all"
I know shes lying but I give her the benefit of the doubt. "We'll be there as soon as we can"
I hang up and try to find michael in one of the other rooms. "Mike?!"
"Alessandro you could help me" He calls from a pile of books that landed on top of him.
I raise an eyebrow "how on earth did you manage that?"
He shrugs and takes my hand lifting himself out from the wreckage "How do I manage to do anything?"
"We need to go" I tell him my tone serious "Madeline called and asked me to come home"
He looks at me with concern "Did you find it?" I nod.
"Lets go then"

Madeline's POV"Abigail you need to tell Michael" I say gently. We arrived home last night, deciding not to stay any longer than we had too.
"I can't" She says holding a sleeping Isabelle in her arms "He won't believe me"
I shake my head "Of course he will believe you, you're his wife"
She looks down at her daughter and kisses her forehead "I found out I was pregnant a month later, what if"
"No" I cut her off "It doesn't matter Michael loves Isabelle and would do anything for his daughter regardless"
