The last time

Michaels POV
"Whisper or you'll wake your mother!" I hush Isabelle as we set down breakfast on the dresser.

She stays quiet then counts to three on her fingers before jumping onto sleeping Abigail.

"Mommy! Wake up!" She jumps onto Abigail until she wakes up.

"Michael! I will kill you!" Abigail screams trying to grab me from the other side of the bed. I take a step back and laugh as she pretends to be happy to see Isabelle's breakfast.

"Oh my baby! I love it!" She says to Isabelle with a smile whilst still trying to murder me with her eyes.

"Abigail" I kiss her forehead "I'm going to be gone for a little while"

She sighs "so this is a see you in a few days breakfast?"

I nod "I'm sorry my love but I promise you will be safe here and I will be back as soon as I can"

She nods "alright then"

I kiss her forehead and grab the duffel bag Isabelle helped me pack earlier.
"Give daddy a hug" I tell her as she wraps her arms around me.

I kiss Matthews forehead, he was always a sleep over play type of child. I move to Abigail to kiss her but she shrugs away from me, clearly upset.

"Please don't" I beg her "I promise I'll come back but I have to do what needs to be done"

Abigail wipes a tear from her cheek "you've caused me too much stress Michael, just tell me when you get back"

I nod and kiss her cheek lightly, "I love you" I whisper into her ear before leaving the room and heading to the front of the house where Alessandro and Madeline wait by the car.

"There is no way I am allowing you to go there alone!" Alessandro yells at Madeline whilst I put my bag in the car.

"I do not need a babysitter!" She says

Alessandro groans "neither do I!"

I gasp "I am not a babysitter, if anything you're my babysitter Alesso" I hug Madeline tight to my chest "let's go before I change my mind and let you go alone"

I sit behind the wheel and wait for Madeline and Alessandro to talk before saying goodbye.

He slides into the passengers seat, his expression already hating the trip.

"Don't make that face, were going to catch a bad guy and get you a stripper all in one!" I smile trying to make him laugh. "good things you pushed the wedding for another three days then"

We had four hours of driving ahead of us and after the morning I had I wanted to have a good trip.

"She's going on her own mission" he says "by herself"

I laugh "she'll be just fine Alessandro..really there's nothing that woman can't handle"

We drive for about two hours before switching places. Alessandro drives fast and I almost lose my lunch four times.

"Michael?" He says not looking away from the road "Madeline's pregnant"

My eyes widen with shock "wow that's great!" I smile and slap my palm against his shoulder.

"Don't tell her I've told you, she will kill me" he laughs, the smile reaching his eyes.

"If I'm not the God father" I laugh "ironic actually, Abigail wants another baby"

I gulp "she wants me to leave the mafia Alessandro"

He shrugs "so do it, you've made no recent enemies and all your other ones have either been repaid or killed"
