Len huffed deeply as he leaned a hard muscular back against the dainty wall of a very elegant room. He had only taken eyes off Ember to make sure it was safe, but otherwise he had been staring incredibly hard at her since first hearing her voice.

She looked well, fit and even seemed happy. This pleased him greatly. Like a father to her, Len was worried about someone besides himself. The set of bangs to a door caused his head to pivot and muscles to contract. He was still very much on edge. To many wolves.

“Who is it?” Ember called already heading to the door after tending to Russ.

“Me dear” His voice was deep, sounding like the man they had passed to get into the large house. A slowly growing smile on Embers face told Len it was alright. Opening her door she allowed the well dressed man to enter. He turned and gave Len a once over, Len did the same.

“Father this is Len, he raised me” Len’s brow rose to Ember’s words. Father was he. Well then that would explain much.

“Welcome Len, I am very thankful for your care in my daughter. I never thought I would ever see or know of her. I can’t tell you how much this means to me” The man of power bowed, causing Len to blink in utter surprise. Dripping in what could only be described as a very strong willed man, Len was almost certain this man was the leader or Head Master to the wolves that surrounded the local areas.

For such a man to lower his eyes and body to one such as Len was most uncommon. A pull of Len’s lips tugged sideways. At least the man was respectful and courteous of the ones who were in fact different. It even made more sense as to why Ember seemed so happy. He excepted her for her, and not some half breed destined for failure.

“Aye pleasure was all mine.” He looked to Ember as she made a slow pace to his side.

“She has been my awakening” Len admitted giving a softer smile to the young woman he know saw before him.

“Yes, I would have to agree with you. Ember dear, does your friend require any medical treatment?” The father turned to the green man on the bed.

“Yes, could we have someone help me please?” He nodded to her request.

“Ask no more my dear.” Bowing once more to Len he left them alone once more.

“His name is Terrence Len, and he’s been nothing but good to me.” Len nodded leaning softly back against his wall.

“Good, or I’d have his ears” His thickly muscled arms folded, Ember chuckled walking back to Russ.

“I’m aware Len” Sitting on the side of the bed next to the man, Ember dipped a cloth into cool water ringing it out before placing it to his forehead.

As the door clicked closed behind him Terrance snorted, spinning around to see Nick and his Beta speaking a little ways down the hallway. His brow lifted as they seemed to be so deep in their conversation they had yet to notice him blankly staring.

Nick was first to feel eyes upon him and quickly spun his head to face Terrance, with a quickly bow he walked off leaving Beta Luis fidgeting like a worm in the desert sun.

Once Luis spotted Terrance he as well bowed scurrying off. Terrance frowned slightly as the back lash of air went up his nose, giving him a taste of a familiar smell. He shook his head leaving it be. Sometimes its best not to ask what goes on within the wall of his mansion. They always bubble to the surface sooner or later.

Gathered in his great hall was many well dressed members of the parliament group, along with many common members. Greeting them Terrance moved swiftly to his healers side whispering a few words and watching as she excused herself. One of the best healers around she was. Being of a family of healers did her justice.

Pacing his room for the night Dean chewed on nails. His conversation was short lived when he’d been unable to even see the Head Master round his desk only to hold Dean by the throat to a wall. He had all he could do just to grasp the mans forearm to stop him from choking the life from his soul. Eyes wider then sauce pans Dean waited to see why his Master was so uptight about the display he’d been able to witness.

“Listen here boy. Whatever your planning, whatever you did….you best be fixing it. Do I make myself clear?” His breath was hotter then a flame, even his eyes were that of a burning candle. Dean nodded as best he could.

“Yes sir” It croaked out, barely legible. Boots hit the hard wood flooring when the Head Master abruptly released his fine grip, allowing Dean to rub both his ego and pride.

“Get out of my sight before I realize I am being to kind.” A quick bow before dipping out of the room was all Dean dared to push. His understanding that the Master was very family orientated was an understatement. Dean knew the man had lost his love, but never new as to why. To many rumors and stories were passed around, covering up what little truth there was.

Now confined to his quarters he was trying to figure out how to fix what he had done. She already seemed displeased to see him, even more so to the idea of him touching her. How on earth was he suppose to fix it, if it wouldn’t even allow him within a four foot radius. Dean groaned.

Heavy hoof beats while a snort came from the dapple grey steed echoed around the many carriages set up in waiting for the nights even to end. Dragging a heavy hand through dark spikes, emerald eyes looked around for a hand to tend his horse.

When one of the carriage boys came out of the stable he smiled, waving the boy over. Swinging one leg over darkened tan leather of his saddle he held the matching reins.

“Thraven” The boy said, it was almost a whisper but for the man standing before him it was well heard. A hand patted the boys head.

“Easy lad, I mean no harm to your lands” He chuckled fixing his black jacket while walking into the mansion. Few people weren’t already in the main dinning hall, the few who were able to see Thraven walk in held their breath.

He smirked showing just a bit of white fang over perfectly light pink lips. It was just to easy to get these overly priced coots into a tailspin.

Steel boots clicked across perfectly buffed tile floors, parting a sea of well dressed and highly educated members of the higher society.

It didn’t take long for the main man to pick up his scent, spinning his head around to give Thraven a well advised look. Thraven dropped his smirk, taking to a low bow instead. Never piss off the Head Master.

“Thraven, so good to see you” He was immediately greeted with a hand shake and a small smile.

“Head Master, always a pleasure.” Thraven smiled looking around at the many crystal chandeliers. Looking around Thraven the Master raised a brow.

“Did your father not come as well?” He asked slightly sounding disappointed.

“No Sir, he had business to attend to.” Head Master nodded releasing Thraven’s hand. Slipping his hands deep into deep black jean pockets Thraven looked about. It was just like all the other parties he’d been to.

Clearing his throat a man dressed like a butler gathered everyone’s attention at a pair of double doors.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, the lovely Lady Ember” His hand slid across air. It presented a golden beauty with blackened hair. She looked so uneasy walking into the large room filled with powerful people all staring her down. Thraven looked slowly around at the now bowing heads, a grunt from the Head Master caught Thraven from his stupor. He bowed as well, but kept an eye on the woman.

Ember opened her bedroom door to a female voice, suspecting it was who her father left for she allowed the woman in. She gave Ember a bow of respect before swiftly moving to her bedside and tending to Russ. Another light knock startled Ember when Daniel walked in, a little flush in color.

“Daniel?” She tilted her head, but he waved a hand gulping while both hands fixed his tie.

“We need to get you to the party Ember, your father is waiting.” He looked at Len.

“He doesn’t do parties” She said knowing you’d never get Len into a party such as this. Or any for that matter. Len Grunted watching the female tend to Russ.

“Okay…” She really wasn’t in any mood what so ever to party. In fact she’d love nothing more then to put on sweats and watch tv till Russ awoke. Daniel would never allow that.
