~~~~~~
Over a week had past, in which no sighs of his other half were located. It was as if she’d vanished off the face of the earth. The taxing feeling Dean was getting from not being able to feast his eyes upon her was so painful, he caught himself slowly going insane. His dreams were of black silky strands, eyes so bestowing they sucked air from lungs.
Balled fists hit the hard black desk, objects not heavy enough to with stand the blow jumped. Dean growled out rubbing his tired face, he couldn’t think, eat or sleep. To make matters worse he’d sent so many of his wolves out in search of her that he was leaving himself unprotected, but what really had him on edge was the announcement of the Head Masters found daughter.
A celebration for her arrival was quickly coming and he hadn’t a date to bring, not that any from his pack would do. He wanted her. The pen flicked onto the desk, hands pushed behind his head as eyes closed. Her figure was slowly becoming less and less visible, as though his brain was trying to delete her completely.
He cursed heavily.~~~~~~
Sunshine cascaded into the large window of her room, warming cheeks and making her eyes flutter with annoyance. It had been a few days now since finding her father, and a little less at the knowing Daniel was now her guardian. Pink lips slowly moved into a short smile, she very much liked the idea of Daniel being her guardian. They already got along so well.
When the door knocked and opened before she had a chance to call them in, Ember chuckled, she knew before he tapped on her door who it was. It was now a normal thing to have Daniel knock a few times and then walk right in. Truthfully Ember didn’t mind it, he would always be sure to bring her something to munch on while he started her shower and went over what the day had in store.
“You plan on sleeping the day away?” She could see his hands on hips without even opening her eyes, Ember smirked wiggling deeper into the warmth of her blankets.
“Yes….yes I do” she answered holding down her giggles as his faint growl permeated the room.
“We do this every morning Ember, get your butt out of that bed now” He stomped his foot, which only made her want to laugh more. On the scale of one to ten, ten being the most lethal of being Daniel was about a negative three. He was more a lover then a fighter, and always smiling where ever he went.
“But I’m comfortable D” She whined hoping to gain a few more minutes of the sweet comfort of her bed. A bed Daniel made for her every morning, while changing the bedding ever three to four days. She was starting to feel guilty, he was doing everything for her and she was becoming that spoiled rich girl she’d once see on a movie Len had taken her to. Ember frowned beneath the covers, that wasn’t how she was raised. Len had taken special care to give her only what she really needed, all his hard work was being tossed down a gutter while the summer rain washed it away.
She faintly heard Daniel saying he’d give her a few more minutes when she shot out of the bed with a blaze, she wasn’t going to disappoint Len. He might not be here to scolded her, but Ember new right from wrong. Taking advantage of Daniels surprise she walked into the bathroom and started her own bath. Enraged with her attitude Ember growled twisting the silver faucet, hot water poured from the double jets above her.
Body drenched in the hot spray Ember closed her eyes taking her mind back to the once before, it was crystal clear when she saw his face. What was it about him that made her both hate and want at the same time?Shaking wet hair it flung droplets over the tiles, when she suddenly crashed her fist into the wall as well. Damn her for thinking of him, he didn’t want her. He made it perfectly clear. Loath, hatred and discussed has passed his more then perfect features. Ember growled fully feeling her power spinning uncontrollably thought out her body. She had a home now, a place to belong and a father who wanted her despite her mixed blood. So why….why was she thinking of this horrible man?
Snatching the soap Ember scrubbed herself harder then necessary, hoping to rid the feeling of what it would be like to have his hands on her body. They way he smelled like woods and danger, yet holding a softer side while in her presents. Her eyes clenched as fingers squeezed the cloth causing it to drip soap bubbles to the drain. She whimpered teeth grinding together in a painful thought of him loving another. Hitting the wall she allowed her backside to slide down till her butt sat firmly.
Why?
Why couldn’t she of been a pure blood, a creature untainted with the blood of human or whatever she was. But more importantly why couldn’t he love her for what she was. Feeling the sting of their connection slowly dying off was enough to make a sane man mad, and yet Ember never mentioned it to Daniel or father. Why when all they could do was look at her with pity. She hated that look. It turned her stomach into a cesspool of hate and discontented feelings for all that moved about her.Ember shook her head hitting the back wall, it seemed to help- the pain. At least for a few seconds. She was going to need to find away to break all connection to that man, maybe if she didn’t have to feel a sliver of him she could move on. But how. How could she find away to rid herself of him, without causing her father to go mad with rage. The library. Her lips pulled taught with a deathly smile. Whatever Daniel had planned today was going to have to wait, she had a ton of reading to do.
(Sorry its short, but I wanted to give you all something. Love yea. Vote please.)
