I stared at the news as mom brought my lunch for the day. "Miss Kazuki Akira was hailed as a hero and a perfect candidate for the next Guardian's training batch" The news reporter said. It all happened yesterday. "Here" Mom said walking into the room. I took the lunch box and turned to leave. I have been avoiding mom and everyone since yesterday.

"Kira" Mom said making me freeze near the door. I looked over my shoulder at her. "I'm really proud of you" She said. I stared in disbelief. "I'm holding you back because of my selfishness. But i realised that your path is somewhere else. Not where i want it to be." Mom said looking at the TV.

I stood there not knowing what to say. "I talked to your Uncle. And he said that he already filled out the form for Hazelgrove" She said with a smile. "Mom" i began but paused as she raised her hand. "We will talk after school. Better hurry or you are going to be late" She said. I ran to her and gave a huge hug. "Thank you" I told her. Than ran out of the house.

While entering the school gate i put the lunch into my backpack. Students stopped and stared as i ran past them. I hurried to class where my classmates were waiting for me. "Kira you were amazing!" "Kira want to grab lunch with us?" "Kira! Can you sit next to me!"

Students crowded around me. "Please stop!" i cried as i squeezed past them and hurried to my desk.

"Well well hello celebrity" Himari said jokingly.

"Can everything go back to normal?" i asked her. "I doubt it. Not until the press chases you" Himari said motioning out of the window. I looked to see the press outside the school gates.

"Why are they after me??" I asked laying on my desk. "It's not everyday that you find a person with 2 powers. Its 1 in a million. To make it more specific the only known cases is yours and Shiro Anzai's" Himari said not taking her eyes off of the press. I groaned loudly.

That day at lunch me and Himari were on the rooftop to hide from other students and media. "So you met Shiro Anzai yesterday. What was he like?" She asked. "Abit scary" I said taking a bite from my sandwich.

"He didn't say anything about your dual powers?" Himari asked. "He seemed surprised. And he said he would train me" I told her. "WHAT?" She cried. Startled i stared at her. "Kira-Chan!!! THIS IS HUGE NEWS" Himari cried. I covered her mouth. "Well yes but not everyone knows. So please keep your voice down" I told her. She nodded.

"Omg though. You are going to be trained by the absolute best" Himari said shining. I gleaned to see how excited she was. "There's one more thing i want to tell you" I told her. "What is it?" She asked. "My mother. She gave permission." I told her. "Seriously?" Himari asked. I nodded.

"Oh my god!! Im so happy for you Kira-Chan!!!" She said grabbing a hold of my hand. I smiled brightly. That day after school i stood staring at the application form in my room.

I heard talking from afar so with the application in hand i walked down to see Mom and Anzai talking about something but froze as i came to view. When did these two become so close. "Akira" Anzai said as his eyes went towards the form. He held out his hand for it. Hesitant for a minute but i gave him the form. "Hazelgrove huh" He said. I nodded slowly. "Refill this. I will fill out as your parent" He said. "Huh" I asked. "I have talked to your mother. Since your father and i was pretty close she agreed for me to train you." Anzai said.

"I will fill it out for Kira" Mom said taking the form. "Lets begin training" Anzai said. "Where?" I asked.

"Follow me" Anzai said. I followed him to Dad's office. I watched as Anzai pulled a hidden lever and the book case moved to a side showing an elevator. I never noticed this. Anzai got on the elevator and i followed. He pressed the only button on it.

"This is a safe place your dad built for you and your mom incase of an attack. Its 25 thousand square meters, soundproof and strong enough to withstand a bomb attack. So it's a perfect place to train you" Anzai said. "W-what" i traced off. Anzai looked at me.

"What was my father like?" I asked. Than slowly looked up at Anzai. "To be honest. A Lot like you" He said. Than the doors opened revealing a huge empty space. The lights flickered on showing the silver colored walls and floors.

I slowly walked off the elevator and looked around. It went on for miles. "Now. Lets get started with your fitness first" Anzai said. I looked at him. "Well i guess you already felt the chest pain" He said. "Yeah. It got so bad at one point that i couldn't breathe for a while" I told him. "Do you know why it happened?" He asked eyeing me.

I shook my head. "It's cause your body can't handle all your power. You have to train your body to be a suitable vessel for your power. Or else you won't ever be at your full potential" Anzai said. I stared at my hands. "Let's start off with trying to pierce that 2 steel pieces. One with water and one with lightning." Anzai said.

I took a deep breath and focused. I shot a strong water beam but it only left a scratch. I let out a disappointed cry. "That's ok. Now try with lightning" Anzai said. I closed my eyes and focused on lightning. When i opened my eyes my hands was buzzing with blue electric. I looked at the steel piece left. I threw my hand towards it but the lightning zapped and went to hit a wall. I stood frozen.

"We have a lot to work on" Anzai said. "Yeah" i said glooming. "Here" Anzai said giving me a piece of paper. I took it. "You have exactly 7 months till Hazelgrove intake exams. So i need you to follow this time table for each week i made for you" Anzai said.

"5-7AM Morning jogging, 8AM - 5PM school. 5PM - 7PM Studies and food. 7PM - 11PM jogging, target practice, exercises, survival training and combat training." i read aloud. "Oh boy" I muttered.

The first few weeks went by with Anzai and Mom dragging me off of my bed for the morning run and me sleeping in school due to lack of sleep.

But throughout the days i felt the power grow inside me like a flower. I could feel that i was getting full control. The day's slowly went by.

It was a week to the entrance exam and i hurried down stairs to the training room. The elevator door opened and i saw Anzai waiting for me. "Anzai Sensei. What's the matter?" I asked as i quickly went to catch up with him. He turned and i followed his gaze to see two blocks of steel like from day one. "I want you to attack like day one. But stronger and two powers at the same time" Anzai said touching my shoulders as he stopped behind me.

I took a deep breath and rose both my hands. I focused hard and thought of my training in the past 6 and a half months. My left hand began to spark with blue lightning and My right hand began to swirl with water. "Remember your training" Anzai said. With one sharp push of energy i let out a Water ball from my right hand and a Lighting ball from the other.

The water ball was a clean cut and sliced the steel block in half. The the lightning ball crumpled up the other steel block like a piece of paper. I smiled and turned to Anzai who had his mouth wide open.

"I-i had no idea that you would improve this much in such a small amount of time" Anzai said. The sound of the crumpled steel block falling echoed through the empty training field. "I'm more than impressed." Anzai said placing his hand on my head. "I'm glad to have you as an apprentice" He added with a smile.

I blushed as it was the first time he called me that. Hazelgrove here i come!
