Face off

[ Kazuki Akira ]

I yawned in class as we were waiting for Anzai to show up. It's been a month into the school year. I have gotten to know everyone except Hikaru as he was still toxic and hated me.

"Sorry i'm late! We will have an exercise in ground 45 today" Anzai said entering the class. "Ground 45?" Kai asked. "What is that?" Hirai Kao asked fixing her Garnet Red hair and narrowing her Canary Yellow eyes. "Let's go see" Anzai said with a grin.

After changing into our yellow gym clothes Anzai drove us in a bus to a huge box shaped place. It was the size of 6 football fields. "This is ground 45?" Hase Yoshii asked staring at it as he ran his hand through his Burgundy with Plum Purple tips hair and squinting his Hazel Brown eyes.

"Your exercise is that i will split you into 2 groups. 6 VS 6. One team will be the Guardians while the other is the Exiles holding hostages" Anzai said.

"Me and Ikeda-Sensei will watch your moves from the control room. This will be treated like a real life mission. We will call from the sound system if its too much and ask you to stop. The mission will end when the Guardians rescue the Hostages or all the Exiles beat all Guardians" Anzai added.

He tossed two dices.

"On the Guardians Team, Hase Yoshii, Takayama Seiji, Inai Jou, Kazuki Akira, Suto Ryu and Koizumi Toichi" Anzai called out eyeing me.

"On the Exiles team, Tokuma Hikaru, Arashi Kai, Hirai Kao, Hada Imari, Iwayama Kaori and Manaka Shun" Anzai called out. My eyes met with Hikaru's. I knew that he was going to attack me somehow in this mission.

"Let's go in" Anzai said. We walked in to see that inside was built like a city. Tall skyscrapers everywhere. "Let me help Exile team set up" Anzai said getting on a buggy. The 6 of them got on it and he drove off on the roads.

"Listen" I said turning to my team. "What is it Kazuki-Chan" Yoshii asked. "Kai knows how i plan as he watched me in the entrance exam. We need other ideas" I told them.

"I have one but i know you won't like it Kazuki" Seiji said. "What is it?" I asked.

[ Shiro Anzai ]

I climbed onto the control room which was high up with tons of cameras and bullet proof glass all around for 360° view. I stared at the screen showing Akira. She seems to be having a discussion with her teammates.

"Your apprentice is really something" Ikeda said looking at me. She had Juniper Green hair (With flowers and thorns coming out of it ) and BubbleGum Pink eyes. "Yeah. She is" I said. "You may begin" I told into the mic.

I watched as the guardian team jump up to different building. I narrowed my eyes as Jou, Ryu and Tiochi ran jumping from building to building as Akira, Seiji and Yoshii stayed not moving on their rooftops.

Seiji created a huge ice draft and made it explode. Us being behind the glass even felt the cold. This created a temporary dark field. Yoshii having the control of shadows took this opportunity to scan the area. The three of them exchanged looks and nodded. Than all six of them took off in the same direction. "Interesting" I said. "What are they doing?" Ikeda asked. "Making use of their powers. Seiji's power gave a boost to Yoshii's power. They are using Ryu's Psychic powers to communicate to each other. Now that Yoshii pinpointed where the other team was they are going for a head on strike" I said with a grin.

[ Kazuki Akira ]

My focus was not to fall off of a building as we ran and jumped from one roof top to another. "Prepare for an attack as i felt some of them walking around this area" Yoshii's voice said in my head. Than a sting feel went through my back. I jumped sideways on to another building as something crashed on to where i was a few moments earlier. I stood up and stared to see a shadow from the smoke stand up.

"Akira!" Yoshii's voice said. "Go on ahead. He's after me. Finish the mission. I got this" I told them as the smoke slowly faded away. It showed Hikaru staring at me. I placed my hands on my hips. "Had a feeling you would show up" I told him. "Aw you were waiting for me" He said cracking his knuckles. "Well. I was almost losing hope that you wouldn't" I said narrowing my eyes at him.

He struck. I doged but as he was passing me he grinned. That's when i felt something was wrong. His elbow extended and hit me hard. I went flying into a chimney. I shook my head and looked. I gasped as he was right in front of me ready to punch me. I cant dodge it. The force broke the roof and we fell into the building.

I sat up immediately and felt pain all over my body. "Akira! Are you alright??" Yoshii's voice asked. "Yeah. Just focus on the mission" i told him wiping the blood on my lips.

"It must be Hikaru. Akira his power is Morphing Bones. Unlike you his strength is close combat" Seiji's voice said. "Roger" I said staring at Hikaru as he stood up. "Lets make his strength his weakness than" I muttered. He struck me again. Instead of dodging i grabbed his fist. His eyes widened as he noticed a spark go off of my body. "Ka-Boom" I said as i let out a strong lightning blast blasting him out of the wall and down on to the street. The explosion was enomus that i had to duck for cover.

When the debris fell i ran through the smoke and stared down the hole on to the street. I jumped down and landed a few steps away from the debris. All of a sudden before i could stand he jumped out of the smoke and kicked me in the back. I crashed into a store through a glass window.

I was bleeding all over. I looked to see him poking his head. Pissed off i let out a haul of fire at him. He smashed into a wall and him trying to shield himself burned off both of his uniform hands. I didn't waste any time and let out huge amounts of lightning attacks filling the entire arena with static.

Hikaru sat trying to recover from the blows. Areas of his body was bleeding, burned while others were turned purple. He was gasping.

"You wanted a fight. I'll give you a fight" I called at him as i walked through the smoke.
