I shied as i laid down on the desk as Anzai lectured us about how dangerous our actions were yesterday at Ground 45. "You were awesome!" Kai whispered as he laid on the desk to face me.

I smiled. "Really? Thank you!" I whispered back. "Now line up! The principal is holding a special assembly." Anzai said as Shoko entered the class to get us. Anzai walked out and we began to get up. "One second" Shoko said shutting the door and looking at us. We froze where we were and stared.

"About the incident yesterday. As i teacher i should be lecturing you. But as a Ranger. I can say that you guys were born to be Guardians. I haven't seen a dedicated batch in a while. And i can say for guarantee that you guys. Will make it to the top" He said.

For all of us this was a boost. "Yeah!! Let's make it to the top guys!" Yoshii called. "Yeah!" We all responded. When we made it to the hall seperate from all buildings we saw that all the other classes were already there. They stared as we walked in.

"Crap we are late" Yoshii whispered. "Just act normal" I whispered back. We took our seats in the Guardian side. I sat in between Yoshii and Kai.

Principal Kazuko took the stage. He began to talk about the academic year and there would be a meeting like this every year. I yawned. Yoshii poked me and i looked at him. Seiji waved a bit from Yoshii's other side, and held a small poster. I read it and it had a seafood place details. He leaned in to say something. I leaned in to listen. "Me, Yoshii and Kai are going tonight. Want to join us?" He asked in a low voice.

"Yeah! I wanted to go to that place for a while know" I replied in a low voice. "Ah yes. Class 1A of this year" Principal Kazuko said.

We sat up straight almost immediately and stared. "Oh crap" Yoshii muttered. "I knew i shouldn't have to come to school today" Kai muttered. Principal Kazuko eyed us. I saw Anzai hide his face on his hands.

"Can you 12 stand up?" Principal said. We exchanged looks and obediently did as we were told. Everyone stared in silence. "As the entire school knows. Ground 45 was destroyed in an activity. Where 6 was playing the role of Exiles and the other 6 were Guardians. The fight seemed like a real one as i watched it today. Well the Guardians won i'll tell you that." Principal said.

"We are so dead aren't we?" Seiji asked in a low voice. "What i'm trying to say is that" Principal said. "Brace yourself. Here it comes" Kai muttered.

"These are the types of students we need" The principal said. We all stood there staring blankly. "Eh?" I asked. "Well. I'm not telling you all to go around breaking stuff. But the passion they had. I have never seen it in my 18 years as Principal." He added.

"All of them had weaknesses. But that didn't make them stop. As they took this as a real life situation and put their lives in danger and pushed past their magic capabilities" He said. "They knew that in the real world. There won't be timeouts. There won't be surrendering. There won't be any teachers to save you" He said. We stared still surprised.

"So i'm not hesitant to give this batch the title of the best and top Guardian trainees by far in the history of Hazelgrove" Principal Kazuko said clapping. All the students joined in with the applause. "I want all the students to take these 12 as an example. The dream 12 team!" He said.

I looked at Anzai who was staring with a smile on his face. Later that day i was getting ready to hang out with Yoshii, Kai and Seiji. I wore a nude knee length dress and hurried down stairs. "Where are you going? Don't you have practise with Anzai in a few minutes" Mom asked. "Class friends! Be back by 9" I called as i wore brown ankle boots and ran out to see the 3 of them walking up to my house.

"Hey Akira-Chan!" Kai called. I waved back and joined them. We made it to the restaurant after a while. "What do you guys think about the field trip tomorrow with Meiko-Sensei?" Seiji asked as we gave our order.

"You mean the SAC ( Stealth and Camouflage ) one? Its a 3 day camp" Kai said. "Yeah yeah" Seiji said. "Meiko-Sensei is the 2nd strictest next to Anzai-Sensei. Lets hope we survive 3 days with her" Yoshii said.

"I heard it's taking place in the mountains. That's pretty far but perfect for SAC training." I said drinking a bit of water. "It's Hazelgrove property. Along with a couple more areas" Yoshii said. "Oh yeah. I was going to ask but why do you know so much about Hazelgrove?" Kai asked.

"My family is pretty close with the founding family" Yoshii said. "The founding family of Hazelgrove? That's so cool" I said. "Hazelgrove has been around for generations. And the founding family has been around for way longer" Yoshii added. "I heard they have a new heir" Seiji said.

"The founding family? They always had the best Guardians in their family" Kai said. "I know who it is" Yoshii said. "Eh??" Kai cried. "Who??" I joined in.

"I shouldn't be telling since its a privacy thing. But it's pretty obvious" Yoshik said. "Oh come on Yoshii. We promise not to tell. Right guys?" Seiji asked. Me and Kai nodded. Yoshii shied.

"Only because it's you three" Yoshii said. "Tokuma Hikaru" Yoshii said killing the suspense. I sat back in my seat. "It all makes sense now." I said. The 3 of them looked at me. "Him complaining on being 2nd on the ranks. Him trying to beat me in Ground 45 saying that if he beats me he becomes the strongest" I told them. "Come to think of it. He never took the entrance exam like us" Kai said.

"This was the missing puzzle piece. It all fits in now" Seiji said. "I knew that he was upset about Akira ranking 1st as everyone before him never ranked anything but 1st. I guess i should have predicted he would come after you in Ground 45 but it only struck me when he attacked you. He wanted nothing to do with the mission. His eyes was on beating you and claiming his position at the top." Yoshii said as the atmosphere has shifted serious.

"I thought the founding family was humble" Seiji said. "They are. But something about Hikaru was always odd. For the first thing we always met as kids as my family always visits them. But he didnt recognize me in class. After his parents passing he was trained by his grandparents. And he became power hungry almost over night" Yoshii said. I shifted uncomfortably.

"My question is. Is he with us or against us?" Kai asked. I shook my head. "Either way. He's a part of this dream 12 team. We can't really set him aside for being a bit different. Let's give him time to get used to us and try to talk to him" I said. The 3 of them smiled and nodded.

"Dream 12 Team huh?" Yoshii asked. "It's a dream come true" Seiji said. "We broke all expectations" Kai added. "And let's keep on breaking them till we reach the top!" I said standing and grinning.

"Yeah!" the 3 of them called.
