(Annika's POV)

*in cooking class*

I stood at my usual station, and abbey came through the door, then she stood next to me.

"What did river want?" She asked me

"He, told me well, that I'm his mate" I said.

"Awwww, really, so your a were, too?" She asked

"Well, yeah, wait, river told me that you, Shayla and Anya are to" I glared at her. If looks could kill, she would be dead.

"I, I didn't really know how to tell you, I though you would think I was lying" she replied sheepishly.

"You are forgiven" I said like I was royal, and with a posh, blank face.

"When did you know you were a, were?" She asked

"Last night, on my porch" I said being enthusiastic on the word porch.

"Oh, realy, did you not know all that time!" She said her jaw dropped.

"Girls, please chat in your own time." The teacher grumbled.

Me and abbey just stood there as every one looked at us. And of course me and abbey had no idea what we had to do because we had been chatting.

"Yes,miss" we acknowledged In unison.

I looked over to vicky to see she had a pan, self rising flour, an egg, sugar, milk and vanilla essence.

I told abbey what we needed and than we followed the teacher for more instructions. ( shout out to who ever can guess what they are making! )

The bell went and me and abbey continued our chat.

"Are you glad your a were?" She asked before leaning down to take a refreshing sip of water from the fountain close to our cooking class

"I...I don't know" I hesintaly asked, unsure of wether I want to be me right now.

"It's okay, things will get better, and you'll love to be... You" she promised reassuring me that I'll have so much more fun than being a boring old human.

"So...could you explain this whole mate thing for me?" I asked anxious for a girls opinion.

"Well, I haven't meet mine yet, but they are the best thing ever, went I turn 17 my mate will let me know... Hopefully. Make sure you keep Close to him because if you leave him alone... He will...kill him self" she warned leaving slight gaps between her words every now and then

"Seriously?" I asked not taking it that seriously.

"No joke, they will stop drinking, eating, and sleeping at all costs. It feels kinda like the flu at first,b apparently."she gestures and he face shows what she's telling me is Legit.

"Wow" I raise my eye brows, creating wrinkles on my fore head.

"Yep, so, river is yours right?" She asked tilting her head to her left, her pony tail follows behind.

"Yeah, talking about river, I kinda promised him that I'd meet up again, sorry" I apologised knowing she wouldn't mind at all.

"Alright, get back to lover boy than" she smirked, hedding of to find the girls.

"Bye" I give a slight wave, I'm glad it was to abbey because that wave, made me look like I was retarded.

I waltzed to find river, watching my feet, walk in front of each other. I then look up to see river standing at a bench staring at me mindlessly, as if he's unaware that I'm looking a at him
