The Princes

The Story Begins

Makoto Pov:

It was the usual Monday morning assembly and I was sat next to Haru, while Rei and Nagisa were a few rows in front of us (due to being a year younger than us).

There was whispering and shuffling as the last few classes arrived. Once it was all silent and calm, everyone in the hall stood up. The principle walked on to the stage and made his way to the lecture stand.

"Ohayo gozaimasu!" we said in unison.

"Ohayo gozaimasu to you all!" The principle responded through the microphone,"You all may sit down now. I have some news but first let me invite some special to the stage."

I saw a figure comming from the side of the stage but could only really managed to have a good look after it got past the side curtain. At first I thought it was a big grey torchic ( damn, I've been playing too much pokemon with Ren and Ran) but once it was facing us I knew who it was.

"Yes I have invited our school mascot Iwatobi chan." The principle continued. "Amazing." I heard Haru whisper full of awe. Of course he always loved mascots so I wasn't surprised or should I say I shouldn't have been surprised.

"Iwatobi chan represents our school and like wise some students in this room will, Iwatobi High School and Samezuka Accademy have joined arms to put on a production together! The auditions will be held next week in which both me and the Samezuka principle, along with a few other teachers from both our schools will decide who gets what roles. I have to remind all students that there is a limited amount of roles and that there are two schools in which one happens to be an all boys school but we will try to be fair. We will try to make sure that half of the roles will be played by our school and the other half by Samezuka and that we get equal amounts in main characters, supporting characters and chorus. Now any questions?" No one raised up their hands I turned to Haru whos' eyes were still full of wonder. "Good you all understand. Now we need to decide on a director for our school since this is a student thing and teachers are merely here to supervise with the dangerous stuff for the set and props. The director will work closely together with the director chosen from Samezuka Accademy, this is a job only for 3rd yearers I must add. Now do we have any volunteers?"

Unsurprisingly most of the girls in our year group put up their hands screaming to be the director. It was obvious they just wanted to get cosy to the guy whoever was gonna be the director from Samezuka. The president of the drama club (Masayuki Hori ) also put up his hand but that's because he loves drama. Then I heard a voice next to me say, "Pick me Mr Yamamoto!"

I looked to my right and saw Haru stood on his chair trying to get the principles attention.

"Huh...Ha...Haruuuuu!?"

"Nanase perfect, this will be a great opportunity for you to contribute to the school other than swimming. All students,Nanase Haruka is the director for Iwatobi High School, please give an around of applause."

Everyone clapped but they all looked as shocked as I was(well except from nagisa who had a huge grin on his face). I knew Haru loved mascots so I'm guessing that's what motivated him but still it's all out of the blue and normally I can read him.
