It was Marc's first day in Marinette's class after transferring from his previous school, and he was really nervous. Since his parents were overseas he was staying with Marinette and her family so he went upstairs to her bedroom. "Morning, Marc!" Marinette smiled as he came up. "Oh... Umm... Morning..," he stuttered as he closed the trapdoor. Marinette could see the anxiety in her friend so her eyes softened. She had told her friends about Marc and how shy he was. Since she was sitting at her vanity putting her hair in her characteristic pigtails, she stood up and gave him a gentle hug, "I know you're nervous, Marc, but you're going to do just fine here in Paris. The only person you may have trouble out of is Chloe, but I'll handle her, ok?" she smiled. Marc blushed slightly as he smiled and nodded. "Good. then let's get you ready! You do still want light makeup, right?" Marc's eyes widened then lit up, "Yes, please!!"
Marinette giggled at how adorable he was as he sat down on her stool, a goofy grin on his face. She set out the cream foundation, highlighter, contour, blush, false lashes, eyeliner, and lipstick along with the correct brushes. It took about thirty minutes to get his makeup done and when he looked in the mirror his eyes widened as his jaw dropped. "Whoa... I look so feminine and soft..." he said before smiling big, "I'm so beautiful thanks to you Marinette!! thank you.." Marinette smiled sweetly. "Of course you do!! The boys at school will be tripping over each other to ask you out now~" she giggled. This, of course, made the shy genderfluid child smile as he blushed big time.
"Do you really think so..?" he asked. Marinette smiled and nodded before noticing the time. "Oh no! We'll be late if we don't hurry to school!!" Both teens jumped up and bolted out the door after saying goodbye to Marinette's parents. To Marc, it was exciting and even invigorating. To Marinette, it left her a wheezing mess. They got to the door then stopped to catch their breath before entering. As soon as the door opened, however, Marc got really weak in the knees and he got really shy again. Marinette smiled softly, knowing he's nervous, before rubbing his back. "Hey, you're going to be just fine, remember?" she reassured him. He looked at her before taking a deep breath, relaxing as best he can. "You're right Mari.. I can do this... just... don't leave me...?" Marinette smiled and nodded, "You got it."
The duo walk inside and Alya jogs over. "Hey, Girl! This must be that friend you told me about!" she smiled as she hugged Marinette. Marinette smiled and nodded. "Yeah, this is Marc. It's his first day so go easy on him, you hear?" Alya feigned shock, "Me?? Not go easy on him?? I am SO offended!!" This made Marinette laugh. Marc smiled shyly, "Um... Hello...You're Alya, Right...?" Alya looked at him and smiled, "The one and only~! Marinette told me about you. You'll fit right in here!" Marc smiled a little more. Her encouragement was greatly appreciated. Then, it happened. Nathaniel walked into the building and Marc's eyes were immediately glued. He even felt his cheeks heat up and when their eyes met, Marc nearly panicked as he looked away immediately, his face bright red. Alya noticed and looked at Nate and smiled. "He's a sweetheart, ya know. He enjoys giving compliments," Alya whispered in his ear as Nate walked over to them, making Marc flustered like how Marinette is around Adrien.
"You must be the friend Marinette told us would be joining us. You look nice," Nathaniel smiled at Marc. Marc tried to thank him but his words got all mixed up as they came out, just like how Marinette's do when Adrien is around. Marc just turned bright red and hid his face when Nate's eyes softened, "I'll see you in class, Marc." Nathaniel walked off toward the classroom, leaving the girls to try to calm him down. "I can't believe my words got mixed up like that.... I'm so embarrassed...," Marc said, his voice muffled by his hands. Alya rested a hand on his shoulder, "Marc, it's ok. Marinette does it all the time!" Marinette blushed big time. "Alya!!" she exclaimed, actually making Marc giggle. Marc could already tell he's gonna enjoy this high school. That was until Chloe came into the picture and saw Marc and his makeup.
"Who are you??" she demanded. Marc, in response, jumped and hid behind Marinette and Alya. Marinette stepped forward. "Leave him alone, Chloe. He's a close friend of mine and a new student here." Chloe raised an eyebrow, "That THING is a boy?? But he's wearing makeup like a girl!!" Marinette glared. "So? It's just something he enjoys so back off, Chloe." Chloe laughed. "Like any real boy would wear MAKEUP!!" No one even saw Adrien as he walked over. "Does that mean I'm not a real boy?" Chloe jumped and looked at him, "Adri-kins??? YOU wear makeup??" Adrien sighed and walked over to stand next to Marc, "Well, yeah. I have to for my photo shoots. Besides, Marinette said that he just enjoys wearing makeup. Maybe he plans to be a cosmetic artist when he graduates. Or maybe he just likes how it makes him feel. You can't just judge someone by their appearance, Chloe," he said before looking at Marc,
"By the way, you look amazing. It's a perfect everyday look."
This made Marc blush femininely before looking away. "Th-thank you... Marinette did it for me, since I'm still learning..." Adrien smiled at Marinette, "You're such a kind hearted girl Marinette." Marinette blushed bright red, and Chloe rolled her eyes before walking off to the classroom. Adrien sighed and was about to speak when the bell rang to go to class so he just smiled and walked with them to class. When Marc got in there he was told to stay at the front of the classroom while everyone else sat down. Mrs. Bustier rested a hand on his shoulder, "Class, this is our new student Marc Anciel. Make sure to make him feel welcome. Marc, Dear, why don't you introduce yourself to the class?" Marc got really shy and gulped before looking at Marinette, who gave him a thumbs up. He took a deep breath and smiles sweetly, "I'm Marc Anciel, a friend of Marinette's... I plan to be a writer after I graduate..." Satisfied, Mrs. Bustier had him sit next to Nathaniel, who smiled at him softly as he sat down. Marc just blushed bright red, knowing that this was going to be a long class period...
