Dinner was truly beautiful. The restaurant was decorated in gold and scarlet, and the waiters donned glamorous tuxedos. The music was a breathtaking classic from Beethoven, and a well-groomed waiter walked over with two menus. "Good evening, gentlemen. My name is Hansel, and it is my pleasure to serve you. May I recommend the crab souffle with a side of scalloped potatoes seasoned with fresh spices grown in our own garden?" Nathaniel looked at Marc, who smiled and giggled. He smiled and reached over to hold Marc's hand before returning his gaze to Hansel,  who had raised an eyebrow. "We would love to try it, Sir." Hansel nodded and wrote down their order. Once finished, he looked up once again, "What would you like to drink?" With a soft smile, Nathaniel looked over at Marc, "What would you like, Babe?" Marc blushed cutely as he scanned the menu for the drinks, searching for something. When he looked up, he saw the expression on Hansel's face and immediately looked back down, "Um...."

In confusion, Nathaniel looked at Marc then at the waiter, seeing the disgust on Hansel's face. His eyes widened and narrowed in anger, "We don't appreciate the disgust you have on your face. Is there a problem with me taking my boyfriend to a nice dinner?" Hansel was clearly surprised and looked around hoping no one had looked over. Unfortunately for him, everyone was watching him, "N-no... No problem at all.... I-I apologize for my conduct..." Nathaniel huffed slightly before looking at Marc again, "What you like to drink, Honey?" Marc hummed for a moment before choosing a bottle of sparkling grape juice. Hansel nodded and quickly walked away. "The nerve of some people.... You okay Baby?" Marc shrugged, "I thought people were finally passed this...." Nathaniel's eyes softened and he lifted Marc's hand to his lips pressing a gentle kiss to it. When that didnt help bring a smile to Marc's face, Nathaniel looked over and waved over who he assumed was a manager, "Excuse me. Are you a manager here?" The woman he waved over nodded, "I am. Is there something I can help you with?" Nathaniel nodded, "Actually, yeah. One of your waiters showed disgust as soon as I asked my boyfriend here what he would like to drink. Now, my boyfriend is upset, so I would like to file a formal complaint." She nodded, "I see... I am so sorry for all of this. What was your server's name?" Nathaniel thought for a moment before replying, "His name is Hansel."

Upon hearing this, she immediately face palmed, "This is the fifth time someone has complained on him today. I am so sorry he offended you gentlemen. I'll take over serving you two so that you can enjoy a wonderful meal together. " Nathaniel nodded with a smile,  "Thank you so much, Ma'am...." With a courteous bow, the manager met Hansel halfway, took their drinks from him, and excused him of his task. This resulted in Hansel glaring at Nathaniel and Marc as he stormed out of the restaurant. Nathaniel sighed and shook his head before giving Marc's hand a gentle squeeze as the manager daintily set the bottle of sparkling grape juice in the center of the table. She then presented two fine crystal wine glasses and poured the juice into them. Nathaniel smiled and thanked her, to which she bowed and promised that their meals would be ready soon. With that, she walked back toward the kitchen to check on their food, leaving the couple alone to enjoy the juice together, "This is really good stuff, Nate.... But you dont normally treat me to such expensive restaurants...." Nathaniel smiled lovingly at his shy lover, "I know, but I thought that you deserve a date as amazing as you are.... You deserve the finest food and to be treated like royalty.... You're my king, Baby.... And I want to spoil you like it~"

Marc's eyes widened, and he blushed as he averted his eyes shyly; he didn't feel like royalty, and while he loved Nathaniel spoiling him, he had to admit it felt odd. He thought about the past guys he had dated; not a single one did this for him. When he looked up, his eyes locked with Nathaniel's electric blue eyes that shone with concern, "Babe...?" Marc smiled shyly, "S-sorry.... I was just thinking.... It still feels kinda weird having you spoil me..... I've never been spoiled in a relationship before....." Nathaniel nodded, understanding how this may be odd considering his past, but little did Marc realize that tonight was not a simple dinner date.
