Chapter 22

          Once seated in the restaurant, Marc sat next to Nathaniel with a smile. The redhead smiled happily and kissed his temple. He was glad to have his lover back as he wrapped an arm around Marc. "I swear you are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen..." Marc blushed and looked away shyly. Nathaniel chuckled as did their parents as they sat down with their burgers and fries. "Looks like you two are still close as ever, Sweetheart," Rachel said with a smile, earning a happy smile from her son. "I hope we are. I plan on spending tonight just enjoying having him back. I'm gonna get him up to date tomorrow." Rachel nodded; she approved of this approach. Marc smiled at Nathaniel before kissing his cheek, leaving pink lipstick on the spot he kissed, and giggled as he watched Nathaniel make a face and use a napkin to remove the lipstick before he smirked at Marc. He swooped in and gave him a loving kiss, leaving Marc a blushing flustered mess, before taking a bite of his burger. "No fair, Nate! You can't just fluster me like that and not expect payback!!" Nathaniel looked confused before squeaking in surprise when Marc kissed his jawline.

          "OK! OK! B-but you're just too cute when you blush..." Nathaniel managed before scooting away for just a second, making everyone laugh. "Come back, Honey!" Marc said between giggles. Nathaniel narrowed his eyes playfully before scooting close again. Marc smiled sweetly and kissed his cheek before laying his head on Nathaniel's shoulder. This gesture made the redhead smile softly as he wrapped an arm around his feminine lover. "I love you, Babe," Nathaniel said lovingly. Marc's eyes teared up and he kissed him happily, "I love you too..." Nathaniel smiled and took a fry and looked at Marc. When the dark haired boy looked over, he saw Nathaniel offering him a fry, which he happily pulled out of his fingers with his teeth. Of course, this was a tease for what Marc had planned for later, but Nathaniel didn't know that. That was until Nathaniel felt a slender hand rest on his crotch, resulting in him squeaking then blushing big time. Both parents looked at them in confusion until they saw their sons' facial expressions; both parents looked at each other and laughed, knowing exactly what must've happened. "OK, boys. Please, remember this is a public place. Once we get you two to Rachel's you can have at it as long as we font have to hear it." Both boys looked away embarrassed.

          This banter went on for another hour before Mr. Anciel and Rachel walked the boys back to Nathaniel's house. The boys both hugged Mr. Anciel before running inside, earning an awkward laugh from their respective parents. When the boys were upstairs, the laughter stopped. "Rachel, I still don't know how to feel about my son dating and having sex with another boy.... I support him, but this still feels so strange...." Rachel nodded quietly. She knew exactly how he felt so she sighed,  "I know... But they make each other so happy.... That's what matters to me..." Mr. Anciel nodded in agreement. He still wasn't overly fond of the relationship but understood that Nathaniel is who Marc fell in love with. He took one last look up at the stairs and smiled softly when he heard the boys laughing. "Well, I'll be back tomorrow to spend time with the boys.... Have a good night, Rachel..." Rachel smiled softly and waved to him after saying her goodbyes. With that, Mr. Anciel left.

          Upstairs, Marc was straddling Nathaniel and the two were tickling each other, perfectly content for now to enjoy each other's company. Marc leaned over and gently kissed his lover before squeaking in surprise; Nathaniel had squeezed his ass. Marc blushed big time, embarrassed that Nathaniel made him squeak like that. "Ah, come on, Babe. Your squeaks are too cute~" Nathaniel said teasingly. Marc blushed more. "N-no they're not... Th-they're embarrassing...." Marc said quietly as he looked away. Nathaniel's eyes softened and he kissed Marc's neck. "Don't be embarrassed... You are so cute and perfect. And I love you so much... Ya know.... This month without you has made me see just how much I really need you... And I only left your side when I absolutely had to.... Which gave me a chance to get you something truly special...." He smiled and pulled out a small box, causing emerald green eyes to widen., "Marc Anciel, I love you with every fiber of my being, and I want nothing more than to marry you in the future and live happily ever after with you and you alone. That being said, will you accept this promise ring and my promise to always be faithful to you...?" He opened the box and revealed a gold ring with a row of diamonds set in it. Marc's eyes widened even more and he broke down crying, scaring Nathaniel. However, Marc nodded before hugging him tight. Nathaniel smiled happily and slipped the ring on Marc's left ring finger. "I love you so much, Nate.... So much....." Nathaniel smiled happily and almost started crying as he held his lover. Marc smiled as he laid his head on Nathaniel's chest, holding a hand out to admire his new promise ring.
