Hopes as red as blood,
The ship sailing on a flood
Of ecxitement and courage.
In our minds an image,
Of lost dreams
And finding peace.
Although it seems
There exists none of these.
I am the captain,
All attention on me.
No matter what might happen,
As we sail the sea,
Evergrowing excitement,
Fills our hearts.
We do more than a merchant,
Don't just sell parts.
We're giving our whole,
Do whatever it takes,
Yet, try not to play the role
Of the villain.
Evergrowing stakes,
Everything we are given,
It'll be for naught,
For what to do we ought,
Will break once more
Our mind and heart.
What we bore
Can be broken apart
Like fragile glass,
Will be gone with the wind
Like gas.
There's not a hint
Of giving up,
The passion keeps
Our emotions stub,
For we know the heaps
Of luck it takes,
For us to survive
Even though we strive
And another heart breaks,
As our hopes get stained red.
More people bleed,
Caught up in the net,
Of the human's greed.
Lives have been lost,
And our hearts are covered in frost,
But we will never cease,
To try to find peace.
We owe it to us,
We owe it to them
Thus,
Even when
Our red hopes eventually fade,
The sky turns to a darker shade,
Our excitement and passion,
The courage we had
Won't turn ashen,
We know we weren't bad,
We knew we'd find peace,
Now take these.
The memory,
The pain,
Everything we used to be,
Don't let it go down the drain.
