Waking up was a challenge

Waking up was a challenge. After yesterday's incident my body hasn't been the same. But it's no big deal I guess. Besides the fact I won't be able to skate for six weeks. And the competition is in seven weeks. Ok maybe it is a big deal, but I'm trying to make the most out of it. I just have to cram my entire routine in one week. As I get up, Jungkook had switched sleeping positions last night. I nudged on his shoulder, but even my little pushes won't do the trick. But surprisingly, it worked this time. He groaned softly into the pillow, eyes fluttering open a little bit as the sun shines through the curtain and into his eyes.  Groaning, he struggled to get off of my bed. But rubbed his head as he sat up, yawning.

"You aren't going to say good morning to me?" He said, voice deep from him being asleep for hours.

"Oh right...good morning..." I mumbled, loud enough for him to here me.

"Good morning to you too" he groggily said, reaching for his fully charged phone on the bed stand. Walking away but not in a straight line, he looked down at his phone as he existed my bedroom. I looked away, stretching my neck a little bit. I yawned, getting up to close my door and change into a new outfit. Grabbing my clothes, I pulled the shirt over me, jeans following after words. But the voice of an angry Jungkook stopped me from undoing the curls in my hair. I paused and listened, but I still couldn't tell what he was saying. I quietly walked over to my bedroom door, pressing up against it. It was clear that he was trying to contain his temper, which means it is Haeli on the phone.

"As if that wasn't obvious enough!" I gulped, his tone anything but angelic like usual.

"Then you should control your actions and thoughts once in a while!!" I choked on my hair, hiding and containing my coughs, trudging away from the door softly as my ankle reminds me of my terrible fate from yesterday. I sat in front of my desk, pretending to busy with something, even though I have no homework. I grabbed my sketchbook, looking for a drawing to add things to. Angry footsteps echoed in the empty hallway as they reach my bedroom door. As he opened the door, I pretended to be focused on my drawing and turn to see him, no emotion apparent.

"Sorry.....you didn't hear anything did you?" I shook my head, putting on my best acting skills. I turned back to the book, adding small details to the flower I started to draw last month. But as I drew, I looked back in my mind of all the signs of how angry Jungkook is. Popping, angry veins on his neck and wrists. Heavy breathing that he tried to control. Jaw clenched and a lower lip being bitten down on, very hard. But I continue to look away and stay out of it, it's none of my business. Although the urge to know is very high. But I know better then to bug Jungkook when he's behaving like this. But his angry traits started to ease a little bit, but I continue to avoid eye contact.

"Well um....thank you for letting me spend the night over" I nodded my head.

"How's your ankle"

"It's ok" I mumbled, grabbing a green colored pencil. Jungkook grabbed his clothes and placed them in his back. Before he said anything, a car horn stopped him.

"Well....I'll see you at school then, see ya"

"Bye" I said, resting my face on my fist. Jungkook footsteps got further and further away from my bedroom, the sound of the front door opening and closing. I sighed in relief and sat back against the chair. I feel awful for treating him like a total stranger but I can't just show him my feelings. A majority of his time is being taken up by Haeli. Although it is pretty clear that he's getting just as annoyed with her like everyone else around him. I put away the sketch book, hearing my phone vibrate across the room. Walking up to it, I got a text from Joony.

"WENDY YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST HEARD!!!!" My eyes went into shock. Joony rarely uses caps when it comes to texting.

"What? Why do you say that?"

"IT'S ABOUT JUNGKOOK AND HAELI, I KNOW SOMETHING YOU DON'T. MEET ME AT THE CAFE NEAR THE PET SHOP IN 10 MINUTES!!!!" I placed down the phone, placing on my clothes, taking my phone off the bedstand as I slump downstairs to ask my parents to take me there. My father took her texts very seriously, grabbing his car keys off the counter and helps me get in the car.

"I'll be there Joony, I'll be there soon"
