The next morning came faster than either of you would've liked. You woke up around five, as you normally did, and slowly stretched out your limbs. As you got up, you were careful not to wake Levi, hoping that the extra sleep would do him some good. Once you were out of his quarters, you made a mental note to stop by before you went to prepare with Hanji's squad.

It only took you about an hour to get ready. As usual, you assured that you looked professional and that everything looked as it should. You stretched out your wings one final time before tucking them away and heading back to Levi's quarters. Most of your fellow soldiers were still asleep, which allowed you time to prepare some fresh tea for the two of you.

Once it was done, you quietly made your way to Levi's quarters once again and knocked. For a moment you thought maybe he was still asleep, but the sound of angry grunting told you otherwise. When he opened the door, it was clear to you that he'd just showered, his hair slicked back and shining.

"I thought I told you to tell me when you're here," he deadpanned. You sighed.

"I thought you'd know it was me at this hour." Levi shook his head.

"You don't know Erwin well enough yet."

   "What's that supposed to mean?"

"You'll learn." He stated ominously. "I'm sure that's not what you've come to bother me about though," Levi gestured to the tray in your hands.

"Well, I didn't make this for nothing," You stated.

The two of you sat on the floor just talking and drinking tea for a good fifteen minutes before you noticed the slow increase in noise outside the door. With a sigh, both of you stood up, each taking part of the mess.

"I'm sorry our time keeps getting cut short like this," you apologized.

   "Don't worry about it."

The two of you walked together down to the kitchen down your hall. You could feel Levi's gaze as you finished putting away the kettle, and you knew he was thinking about last night. You admittedly were a bit worried about the day ahead, knowing Levi usually had a pretty good intuition.

"Levi," You began. "How are we going to keep doing this?"

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"The late nights and the rooftop mornings, all of it. Maybe it's just me, but it feels like something's going to go wrong, and I don't know how to stop it." Your back was turned to him, but even without seeing your face he could tell you'd been thinking about this frequently.

"(Y/N)," he walked behind you and turned you around. "Nothing's going to go wrong. Not with us." He assured you.

"Levi, I-" he cut you off by smashing his lips onto yours, the force pushing you back against the wall. It was passionate and promising, and you knew that you would do anything to protect whatever resemblance of a relationship you two had.

"Don't worry about that, alright?" He said, pulling you into his chest. You gratefully embraced him, letting yourself enjoy one last moment before you had to leave.

Levi had followed you from afar after that, letting you shift into the right mindset. You'd caught him staring several times but didn't have the time to say anything about it. You quickly readied your horse and made your way through the crowd of cadets to the front. Hanji was already there waiting for you. You briefly scanned the cadets to make sure everyone was there before you gave Hanji the okay to go.
