Ignore the previous A/N that was here if you're re-reading, the song below HAS been changed!

Once you'd made it to the top of the wall again, the ground shook with the impact of the two. What you witnessed next was something you'd never forget. Eren's titan wasn't just fighting out of survival or rage – it was fighting with calculation and forethought. There were several moments where Eren was knocked down when you were almost certain he was gone. Then, he would get up and go again, even if he ended up right back where he started. You had to admit, the kid had some grit to him.

Eventually, he did something that surprised even you. You were brought into the scouts with the 102nd cadet core, but when you couldn't be trained the first time, they'd sent you back again and again until you finally broke into what they wanted you to. In that time, you learned to keep an eye on everyone, a trait you'd carried from the underground. It turned out it'd been useful above-ground after all. As Eren went at the armored titan once again, you watched as he dodged the punch and went under his arm, almost completely flipping him. After that, it was a series of joint holds before we learned that it could shed its armor. Each of them had been something clearly picked up from Annie herself. For a while, you saw he was winning. That was of course before it moved.

For a short while, no one could understand the scream, or why it moved in the first place. Then, the creaking and snapping of its colossal partner above answered your questions. You quickly predicted the steam wave and flew up and out of the way. You'd just made it to the other side of the wall when you felt the impact. It shook everything inside of and around you. Even the great walls themselves felt the power of its fall as it met the ground. When the steam wave rolled over, you knew you were barely out of its reach. As it spread over the wall, you felt the burning heat scorch your arms and back. By the time it was going, however, you knew if you re-deployed your hooks that you would be sent flying.

After a good ten minutes, you made your way over the wall and immediately started grabbing soldiers. You laid them down as quickly and carefully as you could, scanning the area as you worked. The one thought kept running through your mind was 'where's Eren?' Not long after, the golden lightning struck, and you saw Reiner once again, this time running off with Ymir and Eren in tow.

The picture of them running off put you into instant action. One hit on your tanks told you the gas was at best fumes. You immediately detached them and threw them over the wall. Instantly your gear was much lighter. Looking around, you saw the majority of the scouts were unconscious, which meant you were in the clear. With a running start, you leapt off the wall and propelled yourself forward and into the air with your wings. Reiner and Bertolt didn't know about you, which gave you the advantage you needed.

As the sun began to turn the sky, you noticed an obvious lag in his speed. The fight had worn him out, and he didn't know he was being trailed. At your altitude, you'd seem like a bird if they spotted you. Regardless, you kept a good distance and tried to travel near other birds if you could help it. Your trailing them gave you the time to think around them. It was becoming clear that they were headed somewhere outside of the walls, but it was obvious they wouldn't be able to make a trip that taxing in one go. Their best bet was to head somewhere that other titans couldn't get to them.

Your suspicions were confirmed when they ran straight towards the titan forest. (Or as Levi liked to say, the forest of big-ass trees). The natural greenery gave them good cover, as well as offering you the chance to get closer without being spotted. Once you'd landed yourself a good spot, you had to wait. You heard Eren wake up, and all their talk about being 'warriors'. Even this close, it was still difficult to make out exactly what they were saying. It wouldn't be terribly difficult o get closer, but at this range, and in their state, any movement could alert them to exactly where you were. It wasn't worth it while you were alone knowing full well you were outnumbered. Humans you could take, but human-controlled titans weren't your field.
