I walk into the school gym with my arms linked to Niklaus'. Rebekah and Elijah strut beside us. I let go of Niklaus and wonder off to the punch table. My hand reaches to grab a plastic cup, but is met with another hand instead. I raise an eyebrow and look up to see a handsome fellow. Jet black hair with a couple curls perfectly placed on his forehead. Icey blue eyes that held mischief. Trouble was written all over his face. I could tell by the smirk.
"What's a pretty thing like you doing alone at the punch table," He asks tilting his head slightly.
I roll my eyes and smile, "I'm not alone. You're here." I turn my attention back to the plastic cups and try to grab one. However, before I can grab one he takes it first.
I look at him in annoyance.
"Allow me," He says filling the cup with punch before filling another cup for himself.
"Thanks," I say as he hands me the punch filled cup.
He just nods and sips his drink, holding eye contact. I look down at my drink awkwardly. Why did this stranger seem so interested in me; though I was some specimen in a petri dish. I shake my head and take a drink. The punch is good, but I crave something stronger. I whirl my drink and it instantly transforms into whiskey. Alright, I may or may not have a bit of a drinking problem. But hey, I'm not perfect. I'm Lucifer, aka the devil. Imperfect was what I did.
"Luci, should you really be drinking?" Elijah's voice questions my actions.
I roll my eyes and smile at Elijah.
"I'm a big girl Eli, I think I can make decisions on my own."
"You two know eachother?" Mystery man asks startled.
I nod my head, "Yeah Eli here is my therapist."
"Damon," Elijah greets the mystery man with a nod.
Damon frowns, "The pretty ones are always crazy."
I feel an arm grip my waist and pull me close. I smile smelling Niklaus' scent. It calms me down and I lean into him. His touch sent my body on fire and cooled it at the same time, creating a truely blissful feeling I had never felt before. I like it. No, I love it. And I never want it to go away.
"And taken," Niklaus protectiveness kicks in.
I laugh and kiss his chin.
"Lets dance love," Niklaus whispers in my ear.
I smile and nod. He pulls me into the crowd of people, wrapping his arms around my waist. I bring my hands up to his neck. He smiles down at me, his eyes holding such admiration. We sway back and forth. In synch. Its lovely. The music playing in the background helps me drown everything else out. All that matters right now is this moment. It feels like Niklaus and I are the only people in this room. In this world. 'The Night We Met' by Lord Huron plays. What a lovely song for a lovely moment. Niklaus leans down and kisses me passionately. I kiss back eager to feel him closer to me. He was mine and I was his. Bliss.
But it soon turns into a nightmare when I see him. Standing ten feet away from us, behind Niklaus. I stop and freeze. My eyes widen and my breathing stops. It can't be. Suddenly, my world crumbles. I was staring at a ghost. His evil eyes staring right back at me. His face turns into a smile.
Niklaus has concern on his face when he sees my expression.
"What's wrong love?" He asks turning around trying to spot what could frighten me so much.
My eyes search frantically for Elijah. I need to make sure I'm not seeing things. Elijah saw my memories, he would recognize him. He could tell me if I was crazy. I see the noble Mikaelson and call him.
