"Lucifer!" Damon calls from down the hall.

I stare confused as to how he got here. And why he's standing with Carl and Tara. They move aside and there stands Gabriel. My feet stop moving in shock, and a sharp pain enters my lower back. I look down to find the end of the sword piercing through, and touch the accumulating blood. My mouth is agape and I breath quick and heavy.

"Gabriel?" I say softly, looking up.

He's teleported in front of me, grabbing hold of my shoulder for support. I stare into his soft eyes, knowing they'll be the last thing I see. It's oddly comforting, knowing he'll be here as I go.

"He—Hey, it's okay, okay? Luci, I got you," His voice is just as I remember, but now more panicked.

The sword is ripped from my abdomen, causing another surge of pain. I'm weaker after whatever Michael did to my powers. My legs give way and I fall into Gabriel's arms.

"Wait! Her Grace. No, no, no, she can't die yet!" Carl yells while running towards us.

"Lucifer," Damon speaks softly, kneeling beside me. His eyes search mine for some hope I'll survive this. I don't think he finds any.

"Michael, you monster! Killing me wasn't enough, huh? You had to kill our little sister, too?" Gabriel rages.

"Gabe-Gabriel? No, you're—

"Dead? Tara here brought me back. Glad to see you haven't changed at all," His eyes go back to mine.

I wonder why it's taking so long to fade into nothing. I always thought my death, if it ever happened, would be quick. This is not quick. My heartbeat picks up and rings through my ears, beating faster to accommodate for the continual blood loss. The warm liquid pools on my shirt, before dripping down like a slow water fall, hitting the white floors. I can't tell if Dad would be scolding me right now, or sympathetic. The answer doesn't matter much to me now.

The next thing to happen is echoing voices. I stare blankly up at Damon as he tries to say something, but it all sounds funny. It's like I'm submerged underwater.

Before I know it, the pain is gone and I feel a surreal sense of calm. This must be where everything fades into nothing.

Unkown POV:

Time is a strange concept. We always think we have more than we do, or the thought simply never crosses our minds. It passes even when you don't know it, and it's certainly no stranger.

Life and Death are an even stranger concept. What was the probability of being brought into existence? Why you? Why now? Why, why, why? All questions I'm sure you're familiar with. It's only natural to question things you don't fully understand. But the answers, when supplied, aren't always satisfactory. Despite popular belief, things don't always have a reason. Some things just are.

That's not the answer you want, I'm sure. You always think you know what you want. Sometimes the unknown is better than knowing.

Now, I best be going. Michael is causing trouble again.

"Lucifer," A strange voice reckons me into consciousness.

Opening my eyes, everything is something. Nothing is nowhere to be found. I frown at the bright room. Then I catch a glimpse of Dad.

"Dad," My lips tremble.

My body doesn't know whether to fill with rage or collapse at the sight. Everything is because of Him. Michael killed Gabriel because of Him. I was cast out of my home because of Him.
