Shanaya Singhania

After five months

"Yes dad, I'll take care" I told him on the call.

"Make sure you have your lunch before that" he reminded me and I smiled. I adore my father more than anything in the world. He's the best dad ever in the world. Despite being a rich industrialist, he always keeps family at the first place. He tries to spend as much time with us as possible, but sadly it's not possible. He never lets us down and that's the main reason he's my role model and idol. I always look up to him.

"Yes dad, you too have your lunch on time. Don't skip your medicines. I'll be there tomorrow" I said.

"Ok princess, bye then"

"Bye daddy" I hung up the phone. I have come to Madrid for an internship. This is a two month internship and I had to beg my dad to let me come here. He's over protective and he always worries about us more than anything. When I told him that the internship is over, he immediately asked me to book a flight for tonight and reach home. I chuckled at his behaviour.

"Dad?" One of my colleagues, also my good friend asked.

"Yes, he wants me to be there as soon as possible" I smiled.

"You're so lucky to have a dad like him. My dad is also a business man but he never spends time we with us. I grew up not receiving dad's love and I still long for it" she said, with a sad smile. I pulled her into a hug and she hugged me back. I patted her back.

"Everything will be alright soon" she nodded and we broke the hug.

"Come on, let's go for lunch" I nodded and we walked to the restaurant at the ground floor of the hotel we are staying in. Ordering our lunch, we waited for the food to arrive.

"So finally the internship is ending" she started the conversation.

"Yes, I'm happy as well as sad" I said.

"Why?" She raised her eye brows questioning me.

"I'm excited for the new work after this but at the same time I'll miss working with this team and this fun" I said. She nodded and chuckled.

"Indeed, it was an amazing time" she said. We kept talking and our food arrived. We started to dig in and kept talking as we were eating.

Suddenly the restaurant door opened and a bunch of people started walking in. They were all dressed in black suits. They seemed like officers working under someone. Suddenly everyone saluted and a man dressed in grey suit entered the restaurant. Everyone present looked at him and turned stiff.

"Who's that?" I asked my friend. She was too stiff and once I asked this, her eyes gave a 'are you crazy look?'

"He's Armaan Sheikh, the most handsome business man, owner of Sheikh group of industries" she said and I nodded.

I saw him going to a secluded cabin and all the other men followed him. Only then the rest of the people seated around us started eating.

Suddenly there was a loud sound and we all turned to the side. Some men rushed outside, with either mobile in their hands or walkie talkie.

Out of no where, a guy dressed in blue suit emerged. My eyes widened to see him, he's no one but Shayam. Yes, the same guy who hit my sister on the road. Suddenly my heart started to beat widely and I kept looking at him as he walked inside the room. Maybe he has a meeting with Armaan.

"Oooh! Who's that?" I saw my friend smirking at me.

"You know that smirk doesn't suit you at all!" I said in a boring tone.

"Who's he? Tell me now" she demanded.

"And what if I don't?" I love irritating my friends. What's the point of having friends otherwise?

"What if I ruin your sleep like I did for our intern last month?" She smirked widely. I chuckled at the memory. One of our senior was behind our assess and kept ragging and complaining about us. We planned revenge and set up different alarm clocks in her room everywhere for every one hour. We also misplaced her toothpaste with body lotion and body lotion with a bleaching powder.

Remembering those moments she freaked out, my chuckles slowly turned into horror.

"Now!" She demanded again.

"He's Shayam Mathur, a famous business man"

"I of course know that. Tell me why were you looking at him like you were ready to eat him alive? Am I missing something?" She asked wriggling her eyebrows.

"He ran my sister down a couple of months ago. I was mad at him but he truly apologized and took care of my sister till she's fine. So I was just shocked to see him here" I said.

"Oh really? And you thought I'll believe your lies?" She raised her eyebrows.

"I swear! On our friendship!" I said and she sighed. I know I won.

We kept chit chatting and finished our food. My eyes widened again to see Shayam walking with a smirk on his face.

He was talking to another man, probably his manager. It seemed like he was giving orders and his manager wrote them down. Later a couple of people came running to him but he ignored.

After his manager left, he say on a table, ordering for something to the waiter, ignoring the pleadings of those men. Scanning around the room, his eyes fell on me.

He waved at me and my breath hitched then and there.
