We reached the gate of the college, swiped our check-out cards and stood at the side of the gate waiting to catch a cab, because the driver of the cab we booked cancelled our ride, when we had nearly half an hour for our train. we stood there in a confused state without knowing what was to be done.
In a distance there was a light intense enough to make us blind and thank god it was a cab. We walked near the driver and asked him whether he could drive us till railway station. The answer we got was "sorry madam, this cab is already booked but if the passengers allow then you can share the ride". We told him that the driver of the cab had cancelled the ride and we were not sure about getting another cab, so we insisted him to help us. He assured to speak to his customers. While we were waiting near the door, the back door of the cab opened and boys were loading their luggages, the faces I saw made me decide it would become better walking to the railway station.
" Hey why standing here? "Asked Aadhie. I found three of them together giggling looking at us. I wondered why do these guys always hangout together like three sides of a clover leaf. Everyone's face was lightened fresh for no reason. "can we move?" asked the driver. Steve bid us bye and left the place. As I was standing near the door I had to select my place first. I sat near the window then aadhie followed by navi and dhev at the front. The three discussed something, in fact they were shouting .I maintained silence throughout the ride.
We stepped down the cab after 15 minutes, I bid bye to three of them and reached my mentioned platform. It took five minutes of wait and my train arrived , I got in the train found my place and sat near the window opening it. There were fifteen more minutes for the starting time so I called home to inform them. After a long "Be careful" advices I disconnected the call with an usual "I-know-mom-im-grown-up". I wondered why the whole compartment was empty, I hardly saw only five to six passengers in it when the whole train was filled. I took out my book and started reading. I was immersed into the story when a chocolate fell on my lap,
I looked up confusing and ended up being haunted. I was like "Is he following me wherever I go or am I imagining him?"
"Hellooo" Adhev waved and sat opposite to me with his ever-charming energetic smile. "Is your train late? " I questioned him with full of hatred. "No, im into my train" he winked. "Where is your home? " I questioned out of surprise. "In your destination" he giggled taking off my book from me. "HP fanatic? " he raised his eyebrows. "Not that much, this is my first try" I replied and turned to the window. "Ohh Godddd!! Now tell me where is your home?" He asked like a student in need of the answer one minute before tieing his paper. "whaaaaattt? Why?" I asked in a shock. "youuuu girlll! Give me your ticket please" he took off my purse and investigated.
"Centerville" he took out the ticket and saw me with utmost curiosity. "yeah! But what is the need to be so much curious about this?" "I dont wanna be a man who dont even know where he is travelling" he replied smirking.
The fact is I did not even know what was happening there, he just came sat along with me and started his bla-bla-bla- OHHH GOD!! HOW FRUSTRATING? "Where do you live in Centerville ?" I asked. "Wait.!! Who told you I live in Centerville? "
"you dont live there?" I asked back "Have you ever seen me mentioning this name before, No right? " he rolled his eyes. "Then why the hell are you here?"
"To accompany you" he winked. "Are you mad or what?" i asked confused. "Should I be mad for this?he surely enjoyed annoying me. 'Try this with someone else please" I said and turned towards the window.
He snapped his hand infront of my face and I turned starring at him. He was just playing in his full force and his smile was the one which always irritated me.
I remained silent looking out of the window, when he came and sat near me. "let it go..! See I came to just accompany you untill your place seriously, if you dont believe check me , I dont even own a ticket, it was a sudden plan." "what.. Did I really hear that? You dont have your ticket? What if the ticket checker comes?" I asked him smiling . " What so? I dont mind hiding under the seats for my friend" he looked straight into my eyes and I ended up laughing. "And if this is gonna happen I would capture it for sure" I said smiling. " Where is ur home? " he asked after a long silence. "vriksha gardens" I replied. "Vriksha? " he questioned with his eyebrows sharp. "You know?" I asked for which he shrugged his shoulders as a no for my question. "Did you really get into this train to accompany me?" I asked eagerly waiting for his reply. He smiled and replied "Actually that is 90 percent right. From the day we fought with each other I have been wanting to apologise, we rarely met and very rarely spoke so I never got a chance to be sorried. So I utilised this day. SIMPLE !!" He said with a wink. And somewhere the tone of his "actually" bought a smile on my face. "From where did you get this idea of wasting your night traveling here and there? " I asked. "Whaaaaaat? I should jump off the train ? He asked. I stayed silent smiling. " FRIENDS" he smiled. "we already are" I said and grabbed my book and started reading. "Now can we both read this together ?"
he pointed the book and pulled it towards him. We both started reading. And this evening I realised that my irritation to his smile and hatred towards him had a path to fly off. From now we became friends twinning with the same name.
THE TRAIN SLOWLY MOVED TOWARDS ITS DESTINATION AND SO DID OUR FRIENDSHIP.
