QOTC: What would you do if you were Swift, Raven, or Sage in this scene?
-----------------------------------------------------------
"Oh great," Swift said, "Now what?"
"We need to fight them," Raven said.
Swift gave him a look, "We have no idea how many there could be! There's only 3 of us!"
"Well," I said, "Would you rather fight for freedom, or get back into that cage?"
Swift paused, like the question didn't have an obvious answer, "Fight."
"Then let's go," Raven said.
I honesty didn't know what to expect. I could only imagine what was coming next. An army of guards?
We exit the door, and what we find is nothing I would have expected.
Swift gasped, and whispers his name underneath her breath, "Al."
Allen, alive, stood right in front of us.
"That's right," he said, his voice hasn't changed either, "Where do you think you're going, Swift?"
"Where you wanted us to go," Swift replied, "Out."
Allen smirked, "I'm afraid I can't let you do that."
"Why not?" I asked, "I thought you wanted us to do that."
"Maybe I changed my mind," Allen stared at me, "You've changed a lot, Sage."
"See there's something wrong here," I replied, "Like, you should be dead."
"Dead?" Allen asked, "I am perfectally alive and well functioning."
"And that's the problem," Raven said, "We all saw you die."
"Guards," Allen said, "Get them."
That's when everything went into slow motion. The guards came running at us and Allen just stood there. What happened to him? He was so nice before, and now he's actually working for them! That isn't like him! I was so distracted, it was hard to focus on fighting for my freedom.
I was punched everywhere. Continuelessly my breath left me and my stomach throbbed. I took down one guard, and everything started to get dizzy. I could hear Allen's voice, the real Allen.
"We will escape, no matter what happens. And most of all, we will work together and never betray each other."
Never betray each other? Well, look at what he did now. No, look at what THEY did to him. What THEY are making him do.
Suddenly, I get energy I didn't know I had. It was anger. I kicked, screamed, and punched. Swift and Raven stared at me with frieghtened looks and all the guards were on the floor.
I heard clapping behind me. Allen stood there, clapping his hands together.
"I need to be honest," Allen said, "You're a lot better than we thought."
"Of course we are," Swift replied.
Allen glanced at her, "I wasn't talking to you, Swift. I was talking to Sage."
Swift frowned and stared at Allen. Shouldn't have said that.
Swift walked up to him, "Jerk. We're all a team. Remember saying that?"
Then, her hand turned into a fist and she punched him in the face. Allen fell backwards and put his hand on his jaw.
"Come on," Raven said, "We gotta go."
Swift and Raven started to run to the exit. I stared at Allen for a second.
"Can't believe it, Sage?" Allen said noticing me staring at him.
"You thought you could keep us from getting out?" I replied, "Well, you and your new friends were wrong. Traitor."
Allen was silent and I finally ran to catch up with Raven and Swift.
