Boom boom.
Boom boom.
Boom boom.
That was the only thing I could hear, the beat of my heart. My muscles were relaxed but my head hurt and so did my belly.
I felt a kiss on my cheek and I knew I wasn't alone. Someone was holding my hand tight. My eyelids were heavy but I tried to open them.
'She is waking up!' Someone said.
Maybe that was a voice inside of my head. I heard it again.
'Mae?' It was a male voice.
He was still holding my hand.
There was so much light and it was even harder to see anything. I opened my eyes as much as I could.
'Thanks God you are alive!' Nash was sitting in front of me.
'Hey Mae! You know you will be dancing in a few hours?' Hayes smiled on the other side of the bed I was laying on.
'Where am I?' I asked.
'At the hospital. Can't you see the white walls and that cool machine which is controlling the beat of your heart?' Nash pointed something on my left.
I turned my head and I saw a screen like those of Grey's Anatomy which had a green light going up and down.
'What are you doing here guys?' I was quite confused.
'Cam called us and told us what happened.' Hayes answered.
'What?' Oh shit.
'Don't worry, we all have fallen down the stairs once.' Hayes said.
'Or twice, in your case.' Nash replied to his brother.
Hayes gave him a murderous look.
'What time is it?' I asked.
'Its 5am. It's about to sunrise! Hayes, open the window!' Nash said.
The room wasn't big so I could see every part of it. Four white depressing walls, one white depressing bed, a couple white depressing chairs... Everything was so fcking depressing. Where was Cameron? He wasn't in the room.
'Where is...?' I was about to ask for Cam when a nurse came in.
'It's good to see you awake, darling! How are you?' She sat where Nash was and started to touch my belly.
'Ouch! That hurts!' I shouted.
'Sorry'
'Well, my head hurts when I try to move it and my belly does when I try to flex or something.' I tried to sum up what was happening to me.
'Okay. Look at the light and follow it.' The nurse lighted my eyes with some kind of flash and she moved it.
'Perfect. Your head hurts cause you've got stitches and your belly will be fine in a couple hours. Take these pills every eight hours and your head won't hurt.' She smiled and walked towards the door. 'You can go home at 8 o'clock. Goodbye.' She left.
'You will be fine!!!' Hayes shouted.
'YOU WILL BE FIIIINE!' Nash joined.
They spent five minutes like that and I couldn't help laughin. They were the same weirdos I loved on Vine.
They already stopped and I was still laughin.
'Guys I think I'm a little bit giddy. They gave me morphine or smth?' I said funny.
'Daaayum! They gave u morphine!' Nash was laughin stupidly.
'Wooow! That's awesome! I want morphine too!' Hayes said and Nash smacked him.
'Dude!' The little Grier replied.
My eyelids were heavy again and I wanted to sleep. I never got high but I could tell they gave me some weird drugs.
'Guys I wanna sleep a little. Wake me up at 8, please.' I said.
'Sure! Let's go Hayes, we'll come back later.' Nash kissed my cheek and they went out.
There was too much silence... I fell asleep rapidly.
*Mum, dad... David was drunk. I swear. No, I don't lie! Please, believe me! He was drunk and he hit me! Don't go! Don't leave me alone with him! He's gonna hit ne again! Mum! Please! David don't! You hurt me! David I'm your sister, please! Don't smack me again! You gonna kill me!! DAVID STOP! DAVID!'
I took a deep breath and I opened my eyes. I was sweating and grabbing those white depressing sheets hard. My body was tensed.
The sunlight came trough the window and I saw a siluette sitting on a chair on the other side of the room.
