Knock! Knock! Knock! Knock!

Destiny immediately wakes up and sits up as she stretches her arms above her head and yawns quietly to herself. She throws the covers off her and climbs out of bed as she heads downstairs to the front door. She yawns again and opens the door to the older woman with two women standing behind her who looks very similar to one another. She glances at the balloons saying Happy Birthday as well the cake and birthday party hats.

She slowly raises an eyebrow and states, "I think you might have the wrong house, ladies."

The mother shakes her head and replies, "This is Liam's house, correct?"

The young nanny nods her head and smiles softly as she responds, "Yes, why?"

"Well, I'm Karen his mum." Karen points to her daughters and introduces them, "And these are his older sisters, Ruth and Nicola."

Nicola pipes up, "We're here to surprise our little brother for his birthday."

Destiny is immediately confused as she says, "Wait! What? Today is his birthday?"

Ruth raises an eyebrow slightly and asks, "How do you not know it's his birthday today? Aren't you his girlfriend?"

The young woman begins to blush and immediately shakes her head while she responds, "Oh, no. I'm the nanny. My name is Destiny Harrison. Mr. Payne never told me about his birthday."

She lets the three women in while Karen says, "Well, we are here to help for the surprise."

She follows them in the kitchen and asks, "How can I help with surprise?"

Nicola is the first one to speak up, "Is our cute little nephew, Bear is up?"

Destiny immediately realizes that she forgot to check on Bear to see if he is awake. She runs up the stairs and into his nursery to see Bear is sitting up, looking at her with his sweet innocent brown eyes. She could see that he still has little bit of a cherry red nose as she picks him up and rests him on her hip as she goes back down to the kitchen.

Everyone in the kitchen lights up when they see the cute little baby and begins to coo at him while Destiny sits him in his high chair before his nana places a birthday party hat on him and takes a picture of him.

Ruth asks, "So you're just the nanny?"

Destiny slowly nods her head and responds, "Just the nanny."

"So you and our baby brother aren't having sex with each other?" Nicola asks in curiosity.

Karen gasps and lectures, "Nicola and Ruth! Don't ask Destiny those such kind of questions! What they do at night is none of our business."

Nicola glances at her mum and says, "But, mum! Ruth and I have been setting up blind dates for Liam, but he refuses to put any effort into these dates."

Karen sighs softly and shakes her head as she replies, "Leave the poor boy alone. He will date someone when he is ready to date someone."

"When who is ready to date someone?" Mr. Payne asks, entering the kitchen.

All of the women's face are covered in surprise that the birthday boy is early for his birthday gathering.

"What the actual hell is this?!?" Mr. Payne snatches the balloons and pops them in anger before he points to his son wearing a party hat and yells, "Get that ridiculous thing off my son's head!"

Destiny immediately removes the hat off from the crying baby's head and places the party hat on the island next to the birthday cake.

Mr. Payne points a finger in her direction and grabs the party hat tightly, crushing the thin cardboard in his hand as he yell at her, "How fucking dare you do this!" He throws the hat on the floor and continues his rampage, "I hate celebrating my birthday! How bloody dense can you be, Ms. Harrison!"

Destiny begins to cry and pushes her way out of the kitchen as she runs upstairs to her room.

Liam groans loudly in frustration as he sees his mother and older sisters are glaring at him and shaking their heads in utter disappointment. Oh, crap, he thinks quietly to himself.

Ruth says, "Way to go, asshat." She looks at Mum and suggests, "I'll go check on Destiny."

She leaves the kitchen and follows Ms. Harrison up to her room as Nicola shakes her head and says, "You are the only person on this planet who can ruin their own birthday." She picks up Bear and coos, "Let's go upstairs away from your mean daddy."

Liam begins to feel small when his mum says in the firmest tone she has, "Liam James Payne, sit down at this moment!"

Oh, boy! She used my middle name. I'm in big trouble. He thinks quietly and sits down in a random chair as he explains himself, "But, mum-"

He shuts up when she holds a finger out as she begins to talk, "How dare you speak to that young woman like that! I know very well that I did not raise you to speak to women in an ill manner!"

"Mum-"

She stops and asks, "And am I done speaking yet?"

He shakes his head and answers, "No, but-"

"No buts! She didn't even know today was your birthday. She found out from us and wanted to help with the surprise at the last minute."

Shit!

He definitely feels horrible about treating Ms. Harrison in an ill manner as he speaks up, "Mum, can I tell you something?"

She takes a seat next to him and asks, "What is it, sweetie?"

"I have strong romantic feelings for Destiny."

She nods her head and whispers, "I could tell from that look you had in your eyes when you saw Destiny. You hadn't look at a woman like that since Sophia."

He looks down at the white marble countertop and sighs quietly to himself as he whispers, "I really miss Sophia a lot."

His mum wraps her arm around him and holds him close to her as she quietly says, "I know you do because we miss her too." She holds him at arms length and explains, "I believe Sophia brought Destiny to you for a reason."

"Mum, no. I can't."

Karen sighs softly and says, "I don't think Sophia wants you to be alone forever."

"I have Bear and Watson to keep me company."

Karen rolls her eyes and shakes her head while she explains, "You know that is not what I mean. Sophia would want you to move on and be happy with Destiny."

Liam shakes his head and whispers, "I can't do it, Mum."

His mum stands up from her seat and rests a hand on his shoulder while she says, "If you don't say anything about your feelings for Destiny, she will be with someone who is not you, and you will be hurt by that."

After that, his mum begins to make his favorite dinner and leave him in his thoughts. Is she right about this?
