Destiny is in the kitchen making breakfast after cuddling and relaxing with her boyfriend for an hour. They definitely needed to relax after having sex, but now she decides to make breakfast for them while Liam takes a quick shower. She is standing in the kitchen wearing one of his dress shirts and hums quietly to herself while she flips a pancake over and cooks some eggs and bacon.
She turns away from the cooking food and looks up to see Liam entering the kitchen in a black tailored suit as she pouts a little and asks, "What's going on, Liam?"
Liam walks over to her and pecks her lips softly while he apologizes, "I'm sorry, Princess. But I got called to the office because one of my employees is dumb as shit and screw up with a very important client of mine."
The young woman walks over to him and holds his hands, looking up at him, "Do you really have to go?"
He runs his fingers through his hair and sighs softly, "Princess, I have to go to fix this problem at the office or I'll lose one of my biggest clients right now. Because if I do lose this client, people will get fired. That is a promise."
She rests her hands on his chest after fixing his tie with this sad demeanour and asks quietly, "Can you please not fire any of your employees because they made one mistake? They probably feel terrible as is, and you firing them probably won't help. Definitely, if they have a family to support."
Liam clinches his jaw tightly, trying to hold back what he wants he says, "Destiny, you have never run a business before. If one of my employees messes up a huge business deal with one of my clients, they need to be fire because they clearly can't handle working for me."
Destiny becomes on the defence, but she turns away from him without a word. She goes back to cooking breakfast, and once she finishes cooking the food, she grabs two plates and two glass cups and sets the plates up. She walks over to the fridge and grabs the orange juice as she pours orange juice into the cups.
Liam stops her and states, "Just give me a cup of black coffee."
The usually sweet young woman snaps for the second time since moving here, "No, I'm not making any fucking coffee! You are going to enjoy this damn breakfast that I worked hard on!"
Liam is thrown off by this defensive demeanour that she is putting out because she is usually nice and sweet but a little stubborn at times. He honestly never had someone talk to him the way Destiny is talking to him. He could see there is hurt in her eyes still from the miscarriage and from what he just said to her.
Should he apologize to her? Of course! Is he going to apologize to her anytime soon? Hell, no!
He shakes his head and walks over to the coffee maker as he grabs a coffee filter and a cup of coffee grounds. He then puts the full coffee filter in the coffee maker and grabs some water in the decanter. Destiny becomes angry that he didn't even try the breakfast that she made and throws all of the food away, slamming the dishes in the sink in anger and frustration. She storms out of the kitchen without saying goodbye to her boyfriend.
Liam doesn't have time to argue with her as he checks his watch to see he has some time left for a cup of coffee. He looks up from his watch to see there is no one in the kitchen anymore as he rolls his eyes, thinking Destiny is being immature about this. He looks back down at his watch and then up at the coffee maker to see the coffee isn't taking too long to make.
Once the coffee is done, he grabs a coffee mug and pours himself a cup of coffee. He pretty much chugs the caffeine and grabs his briefcase as well his phone and keys, heading out to his car. He climbs in the driver seat and buckles in as he puts the key in the ignition and starts the car, backing out of the driveway and putting the car in drive. He drives to his office at a speed that is fast to get there in a short amount of time but not fast enough to get pulled over by the police.
