Chapter 7

Thomas POV:

  It's been awhile since we got here, Minho already went to his house and we agreed to go to the house that the gladers are at tomorrow. He wasn't happy about that but went anyway.

I was in my room unpacking some stuff when I saw some pictures that had a woman and a little kid together... smiling, she had long dark brown hair that touched her shoulders lightly & chocolate brown eyes that looked like she was smiling just with them.

It was my mom and me together smiling, I pickup and smiled a bit. 'Wish I could remember you' I thought as I put the picture down. once I was done I went down stairs to get something to eat but something else caught my attention.

It was a piano that hasn't been used in a while, I went up to it and sat in front of it, like if someone told me to I started to play and sing along...

A single tear streamed down on my face as I hit the last note, memories of Newt flashing though my eyes as if he was actually there with me and as fast the memories came he left as well..., I heard someone clearing his throat and turned to see my dad leaning against the wall looking at me with a sad smile.

" it's been years since you played it" he said

" why?" I questioned

" you and your mom would play it all the time, almost every day, until Claudia got sick" dad said looking down

"when she past... you stopped playing ever since" he continued

" I may not remember her.. but I feel that I loved her and that she was a great mom" I said smiling a bit which he returned as well.

"I think I'm going to bed.. night dad" as I said that I went to my room slipping off my shirt and collapse on the bed.

  I laid there for a few minutes thinking about how much has already changed since we got here. with that in mind I drifted off to sleep.

"This all you're fault Thomas!" newt said to me as I back away form him. "I'm sorry.." I said barley a whisper with tears running down my face.
