Chapter 5- WAIT WHAT?!

The following day ....

Let's just say.... Jonathan was not prepared for school today. It was currently Lunch and guess what? He is being beaten to the pulp by none other than Tyler, Brian, David, and Luke. Their punches and kicks didn't faze him but he couldn't fight back. He let them 'beat' him to the ground and have their ways because if he was do to something, it wouldn't be pretty.

The first two periods before this, they all gave Jonathan dirty looks. Jon being who he is let it go, not thinking too much of it. Evan could see his friends glaring at Jonathan but who was he to say anything? His friends were worried about him because he was worried about Jonathan and now Jonathan is back and it seems like he doesn't care, who wouldn't be mad?

Evan was not prepared to see what he saw. On the ground laid Jonathan, all bloody and bruised up, with his very own friends surrounding him. They were in the hall no one comes to because it's on the other side of the school away from the cafe. Jonathan looked unfazed while his friends looked pissed. Especially Tyler and he's the one you don't want to mess with when he's mad or make him mad at that point. Evan ran to his friends pushing them away from a Jonathan who was starting to get up with no problem.

Jonathan knew he needed to get out of there. The bruises and cuts will heal up in the matter of minutes. Curse these powers or whatever. But he couldn't leave, not with them surrounding him. To his surprise, Evan came out of no where and pushed them away. He knew that was his chance. He got up but suddenly felt lightheaded. He was dizzy and before you think, yes he can still feel the side effects, he's not invincible. But the bruises, cuts, punches, and kicks, were only stings to him. It's the side effects that get him after.

Evan caught Jon before he fell. Jonathan's legs felt wobbly and he could barley stand making him almost fall but he felt Evan catch him. They stared into each other's eyes. Before anything could happen, Tyler yelled. "WHAT THE FUCK EVAN?! YOU'RE SERIOUSLY GONNA PROTECT HIM AFTER HE PUT YOU THROUGH ALL THAT SHIT ?!!!!" The others agreed. Evan shouldn't be helping Jon but instead joining them in beating him. Evan glared at his friends.

"Why shouldn't I help him? You guys shouldn't be hurting him and for what? Because I'm a bitch who cries because someone I love came back to me? Get a grip, I know we're all best friends but tell me before you hurt someone I love" Evan replied. It was Luke's turn to speak, "WAIT WHAT? You love that freak?! Evan dude, the guys wearing a mask and not just any one, a mask that represents a K I L L E R." All the other guys looked at Evan like he was crazy. Even Jon looked at him crazy.

Jonathan's heart fluttered when those words left Evans mouth. Right after the words "someone I love", left that pretty little mouth of his that Jonathan oh so wanted to feel against his own, he felt as if his heart exploded. He loves me? He loves ME?! No. No. No. he can't. He made his choice, he chose to leave. But he can't help but feel that they were meant for each other. That no matter what, it was them against the world. He did not want Evan to leave but he doesn't want Evan to change his mind, the truth could be set free and that can start a whole new war.

Jon was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard yelling. "YOU CAN NOT, I REPEAT, CAN NOT LOVE THAT FREAK. IM YOUR BEST FRIEND I HAVE A SAY IN THIS BECAUSE I KNOW WHATS BEST FOR YOU EVAN!" Tyler exclaimed, glaring at Jonathan who was now standing on his own, a few steps away from Evan. Said person was to busy in the heated argument to realize Jon had left his grip. "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND TYLER! NONE OF YOU DO! I LOVED THAT "freak" SINCE I MET HIM IN ELEMENTARY. I LOVE HIM STILL. I DON'T CARE HOW BROKEN HE LEFT ME! HE CAME BACK.... for me." Evan shot back, his voice going down towards the end.

Jonathan, along with everyone else, just stood there, looking at Evan. Jon went to hug him but the look in their eyes told Jonathan to stay where he was. Not like he was scared, he just didn't want anything else to happen. This time it was Brian to speak. "Evan... if you're 100% sure you love this man. Who are we to stop you? You didn't stop us from loving who we love. Not saying that I agree with it but I will support you. You're my best friend and I don't want to lose you over a guy" Brian said. He always had a soft spot for Evan. Not in a romantic way but in a family way. Brian was the calmest out of those boy in that area at that moment. Brock, aka Brian's crush, was and always will be the softest of the group.

After Brian's statement, everyone looked at him crazy except for Evan who was looking at him with appreciation. David spoke, in his thick Irish accent, "No way ye cunt. You're gonna let Evan love this freak?! Evan, ye gotta understand, that we love you enough to not let you go and ruin your life. Yea, you don't judge us for who we love because we all came to you for that and that they're basically our best friends, but we can't just sit back and let ya be with someone who's done nothing but hurt ya..."

A/N: Evan,Tyler,Brian,David and Luke know who likes who (in that doms 'group') and Craig,Lui,Ryan, and Brock all know who likes who (in that sub 'group').But they don't know the person they like, likes them back.

Evan appreciated their concern and Brian's statement but he couldn't help but be mad at them. He knows they only want what's best for him but how do they know Jonathan isn't good for him if they don't know him. He knows very well that each of his friends who's with him right now, likes their other friends. But he never said they aren't good enough for them because of their flaws. Jonathan had flaws but instead of supporting Jon and Evan like he would for them, they choose to judge and think they know what's best for him. And that made Evan mad/upset.

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN THAT YOU GUYS CAN'T SIT BACK AND LET ME HURT MYSELF?! YOU GUYS KNOW NOTHING OF JONATHAN BUT HIS NAME AND HIS LOOKS WHICH BTW ISN'T MUCH! I SUPPORT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU FOR WHO YOU LIKE BUT YOU GUYS CAN'T DO THAT FOR ME?! ALL OF THE PEOPLE YOU GUYS LIKE HAVE FLAWS BUT I DON'T GO AROUND TELLING YOU GUYS YOU SHOULD'NT BE WITH THEM BECAUSE OF IT!!!!!" Evan yelled at his friend. They didn't/couldn't say anything because Evan kept going.

"I have done nothing but SUPPORT each of you of your decisions and only stated what i thought when it was really bad or dumb. Not once have I stopped you guys from loving someone. I didn't stop Tyler from loving the schools whore Kelly (no offense to the real kelly or anyone else who is mentioned). I didn't stop Brian from loving Lanai who was crazy. I didn't stop any of you from loving someone who I thought had flaws that should have stopped you. Why should you guys stop me? I love Jonathan. Yeah I haven't seen him for years because he left but I'll wait until he tells me why. He may have made me depressed at times but he may not be perfect but he's perfect for me. Please tell me you guys understand that."

They all stared at Evan. They saw how broken he was and how much love his eyes held when he talked about Jonathan and waiting for him. Heck they all look like that while looking at their other friends/crushes. They couldn't deny Evan his rights of loving who he was. They all agreed. Letting Evan love who he loves. They may not support it, but they'll be there for Evan and if anything happens.

Evan was happy now. His friends accepted that he was in love with Jonathan. Maybe now they can all hang out and get to know each other. But when Evan and everyone else turned to look at Jonathan to get his opinion...

Jonathan was already gone...
