Australia, we arrived without fans knowing until one of them saw us and obviously leaked it so there were heaps of girls outside of the hotel. The boys went out to talk to them so I took this chance to test out the pregnancy test I had bought at the airport without them knowing.

Longest three minutes of my life, when the test came up I was shocked.

I had been really distant since my birthday; I could tell Liam was getting upset. We didn’t talk much; I didn’t talk much to anyone. They came up and I quickly hid the test, dad asked for me to go to his hotel room to talk.

‘You know Darren?’

‘Yeah’

‘I need to tell you something about him’

‘What?’

I was worried, what could it be about? I thought dad didn’t know him.

‘He is your real father, he raped your mum and she fell pregnant with you. I was with her then so I helped bring you up. He came back a second time after I had left and did it again.’

‘Dad, I’m pregnant’

I didn’t know why I said that, why I told him first and not Liam.

‘Liam’s?’

‘No’ I hesitated ‘Darren’s’

‘What!?’

‘Please calm down dad, don’t tell anyone please.’

‘How?’

‘My birthday, I went to my room and he was there’

‘I am so sorry Leyna; I should have been with you’

‘Dad it’s not your fault’

‘What are you going to do?’

‘I don’t know, but I need to talk to Liam first’

He nodded and I walked out into mine and Liam’s hotel room. No one else was there which was good.

‘Liam I need to talk to you’

‘What’s up?’

‘Um, I am um, pregnant’

‘But i-I used protection’

‘Not from you, from Darren’

His face dropped, neither of us could believe it.

‘He did it to both Mum and I, Paul isn’t really my dad, Darren is. Which makes it worse’

‘I will be here for you and the baby, I promise’ Liam said

He pulled me into a hug and I started crying, I wasn’t sure how I was going to handle this. I was twenty and pregnant with my father’s baby. He managed to rape mum and me; if I have a girl will he do the same thing?

‘I will be here for you and the baby, I promise’ Liam said

He wasn’t my father, Paul was. Paul will always be my father, no doubt about it.

Our time in Australia went quickly, the big day out was amazing. I didn’t drink though, I haven’t told any of the other boys about the pregnancy, I would when we get back home. I emailed firebirds and told them I wouldn’t be able to play. I had to tell them why which meant I had to tell them the story; they said that they will have a spot for me the next year if I wanted to play.

I was lying in bed back home just day dreaming, Liam and I would get the family we wanted but not how we wanted. He understands that I might not want to have any more kids because of my experience. The same thing happened with my mum, I just hope Liam won’t leave like my dad Paul did.
