His smile drops. "Is there something wrong?" He asks concerned. Um, yes! I can't go camping with you, you of all people! Damn my luck is horrible.

"No. Sorry, its just...I've got a lot on my mind." I reply. He smiles understandingly.

"I know what you mean." He sighs.

"What is on your mind?" I asked seriously. He pauses as if debating whether to tell me or not.

"Tell me what's on your mind first, I swear I'll tell about my problem after." He smiles at me as if he knows I won't tell him. Why not?

"I broke up with my boyfriend this morning." His face sort of lit up, but he tried to comfort me. Rubbing little circles on my back. It felt weird and nice all at the same time. Odd...why is he being so nice to me? I thought he was some big player whom shows no remorse to the female heart.

"How long were you two together?" He asked, looking at me with twinkling green eyes. Damn they are gorge! I realized I was staring and started to fiddle with the hem of my shirt.

"Three years." I state. He raises his eyebrows.

"You were pretty serious, huh?"

"I guess...we knew each other's parents and stuff, but I did live in a really small town. Nothing like New York." I laughed. He chuckled, never taking his eyes off of mine.

"Did you love him?" He became serious. Did I hear him correctly?

"Huh?" I asked.

"Did. You. Love. Him." He chopped up the sentence. I didn't know myself. Three years is a long time for a high school relationship. I loved him as a friend, before we were together. But I'm not sure if I loved him as a boyfriend. I shrugged.

He sighed, "Fine, don't tell me." I laughed.

"I just...I don't know if I loved him." I said sadly.

"Oh." He replied. I replayed our talk in my mind. Time for him to tell me what's up with him.

"Hey! Now you tell me about your problem!" I exclaim. His expression turns to nervous. I grabbed his hand in mine, "You can tell me." I smile.

"Natalie I-" he was cut off by Jazz.

"Oh my gosh! There is a new smoothie place that opened up in the mall! You guys wanna come?" She asked Ashton and me.

"Yeah, dude, we're all coming." Kam says while eying Jazz up. I giggle and nod. Ashton squeezes my hand.

"Nah, I'm going to stay here." We all look at him quizzicaly. He shrugs, letting go of my hand and leaving the room. All three boys follow him. I look at Charlie and Jazz who have the same expression on there faces, confusion.

Ashton's P.O.V.

I don't know how I feel about her. She's damn perfect and I'll screw everything up for her. Step one was to acknowledge that I like her, done. Step two is to know my feelings for her: friends or more than friends? Step three, when you figure out your feelings do something about it. I'm not sure how to do step two. I'm not used to having these feelings for a girl, not since Vanessa. Whoa, I just thought her name with having a sharp pain rip through my body. I make my way to the kitchen and search through the fridge. "What the hell is up with you dude?" Josh says.

I poke my head out from the fridge and wave at them dismissively. "No man, talk to us. Ever since last night..you haven't fucked or even made out Angela or smoked or vandalized something. What the fuck is up?" Alex asks with pleading eyes.

I sighed, closing the door of the refrigerator. "It's Natalie." All of their expression grew more intrigued. "She..she..she is so damn annoying! She is stubborn and has such a short temper! But then she can be so damn cute and sweet..she is amazing and gorgeous and...and..I don't know how to do this anymore." I put my head in my hands.

"We get it Ash, just come with us. We'll help you through this." Kam put his hand on my shoulder. I straightened myself and walked down the hall towards the front door. I passed the girls and opened the red front door.

"Are you coming or not?" I smiled.
