Chapter 18: Surprise Attack.

Audrey's POV:
They look at me and Dallas like we had risen out of own graves. Perfect. Paige states, "You two are suppose to be on your way to your kingdoms by now!"

Dallas replies evilly, "We are. Well, our clones are." I smile devilishly, "We came to talk business." Evie raises her brow in disgust, "What business, discovering the next designer perfume that causes asthma, because that's a major theme with you!" Sarcasm filled her tone and with that people smiled or 'oooh-ed' at her comment about me.

Carlos' POV:
Audrey spoke again, "No, business like talking with Shards in person!" Dead silence suffocated every voice and sound around us. Mal raised her voice, yet didn't shout, "Are you insane? Have you any idea who you are dealing with?!" Dallas answered, rudely, "A man that has enough power to have the world bow down!"

Dallas declared, "Tomorrow night at 9pm, in the debate classroom, you will meet Shards for the very first time." Audrey adds evilly, "Dress formally, unless you want one of your parents getting a heart transplant. Right, Evie." I was about to lunge at Audrey but Ben held her back. Dallas and Audrey cackled then disappeared.

We all headed back inside and then Ben locked the entrance doors. Evie sighed holding back her rage and sadness, "Once again, we have no choice!" Uma added, "How did they even become Shards' mindless minions?" Paige replied, "They are not mindless and I do mean mindless as in hypnotised." I ask, "How can you tell?"

Will answered, "Remember the day before yesterday?" Jay answered, "Yeah, you and Paige weren't in school the whole day." Will carried on, "Paige and I were in Cloud Kingdom, earning our powers." Ben asked, "You two have magic?" Paige nodded, "We only got 2 days and the day in between Tuesday and today we had get used to it."

"But, what I don't get how they got to know Shards in the first place." Jane stated a good point, how did they?

(Meanwhile, On The Isle)

Dallas POV:
Me and Audrey and I teleported to Shard's secret hideout. "Shards, it's us." I blankly spoke whilst opening the door. The back of his chair was facing Audrey and I, as it always did as it gave him more of a villainous vibe that usual.

He asked, knowing the answer, "Did you do what I asked?" Audrey replied obediently, "Yes Shards." He evilly spoke, "Good. You two are dismissed." We leave immediately. Audrey closed the door, we began walking down the hall. I see her sit on a table with her hand slightly shaking.

I ask, "What, you nervous?" She blushes as I stand a little closer, "No, w-why would you th-think that?" I stand much closer, put my hands on my waist and pull her closer, "You're blushing, you don't blush." Our faces were centimetres apart. I kiss her and she kisses back.

(Later that Night)

Paige's POV:
Gil and I were sat outside on one of the balconies. His arm around me was like a comfort I could never not want, sometimes I wonder how such a funny and sweet guy like Gil could exist.

He asks me innocently, "Whatcha thinking?" I reply sweetly, "I'm just wondering how such a sweet and funny guy like you exist." He smiled, "Because my parents made me!" I laugh, knowing that's not what I meant but I don't mind.

Calming down from my laughter I smile, "I love you Gil." He replies before kissing me, "I love you too, Paige." After today, this was the best way to finish it off.

Will's POV:
Ben and I were in my bedroom. He used to be my roommate until he became 16. He's 17 now. Yet some how I haven't had a roommate for one whole year.

Ben asked me, "If Shards was so powerful, he would of wiped Auradon clean right?" I sigh, "He has a bigger plan than that." Ben and I thought of what Shards could possibly be planning.

Ben says, "That's tomorrow duty, let's go to bed now." I nod and enter my bed. This will never never be easy, he gave us no choice. Following the rules have never been in my blood, but I have no choice. Sorry Peter Pan, sorry dad.
