March 15, 2018

JaeHee gripped her phone and held it tightly. She led it to her ear, and waited until the ringing was interrupted by her brother's comforting voice.

One ring. Nothing. Two rings. Nothing. On the third ring, Jin responded-

Jin: Hello?

JaeHee: Have you gotten the news? About mom and dad? I just got contacted about it.

Jin: Sadly, yes. I was also just informed that right now, no one has custody over mom and dad's house. So you are going to have to unenroll from the college you are currently in, and move out within the next 10 days...

JaeHee: WAIT? TEN DAYS?! REALLY? but it was their house! How can they take it away? And why does it all have to happen on my birthday too..

Jin:  Well, they never fully paid it off, and because of that and some other laws, it's illegal for you to be living there now.

JaeHee: Just because their dead, my whole life has to be manipulated!? Where am I even supposed to live??

Jin: ...JaeHee calm down. This was probably all meant for a reason. And if you really are concerned, I'll help you get a head start on house hunting.

JaeHee: That's really generous, thanks. I would really appreciate that...  And by the way, did the phone call you get mention how they *cough * died, or who the witnesses are?

Jin: Sorry, no. But they did say they were going to send a private investigator out there.

JaeHee: Okay then. Let's agree to keep each other updated, incase we get any more info.

Jin: Okay.

JaeHee: Okay, Love you.

Jin: Love you too, bye.

She ended the call and sat down, dumbfounded. Her mind racing a mile a minute. Trying to take in everything at once, she let out a large sigh.  If this was going to end for the best she needed to think positive.

"You got this JaeHee! You can totally do this!"

Letting her own words sink in, she looked around her house thinking about all the memories built around it.

"This won't be easy..."

:::

JaeHee pulled her suitcase out of her enormous closet, and began to scan her room. She was definitely going to need a bigger suitcase. So she walked into her parents room and lifted the even larger suitcase onto the floor, that was usually intended for business traveling. Once the necessities were thrown in, it was time to get the little things. She took a picture of her at the age of 6 with all her friends off of her desk and gently laid it into her suitcase. After all the basics were covered, and all the details completed, she pulled her phone out of her pocket and opened a new tab.

"Apartments for rent in Seoul"

Everything that showed up was way over her budget , and she felt bad taking her parents money. She needed to figure out what her plan B was.

Sorry this chapter is a little short.

Is the story still good? I think I'm making it a little too boring, but maybe I'm over thinking things... idk.
