Our Second First Adventure

I opened my suitcase and realized that I hadn't packed anything more than casual. I didn't think I would need any dresses and was dumb enough to only bring one. This dress was special and I didn't really want to go out and eat in it. Oh that's just great!  Being stuck in some turmoil, the only option I had left was either to ask Jin to them not to pick a nice or too fancy restaurant, or go to an elegant place looking casual, and stick out like a sore thumb.

I headed towards my door and opened it. I hope they haven't decided where to go already... I was greeted by Jin standing outside of my door looking ready to knock. He quickly went back to his normal position, and looked excited.

"Sooo, JaeHee. Since it's your first day here, we decided we are going to take you to one of our favorite restaurants. You should feel special, it's not everyday we show it to someone." He winked at me, and all I could see was him as a 6 year old. He looked so cute and innocent in this moment that I almost forgot the he was just being his normal self.

I felt too bad to turn down his offer so I agreed and instead told him my situation. "Can't wait!" I grinned, trying to dodge the point, but I had to face reality. "I really can't wait to go. But we might have a little situation...I kinda forgot to bring a casual dress."

He looked at me for a second and looked a little worried, as he thought and thought he eventually sparked an idea. "Well, we could spend more quality time together by shopping for a new one with you, and then going out to dinner. Would that work out?" He had a reasonable offer, so I agreed. "That should work."I responded.

Jin started knocking on doors all around the house, the boys slowly started to pour out. Man this place must really be fancy. Everyone was wearing a white button up collar shirt, with business pants, and a ties. We definitely needed to get me some way better clothes for me ASAP.

Jimin started talking to me while we started to head down stairs to go to the car. "If you think about it, this is kind of like our first adventure together...you know, as a group." He blushed.

I tried my best not to smile at his adorable embarrassed face. "Well technically, isn't this kind of like our second, first adventure." I said trying to get him to remember how much fun we had together as kids in the past.

"Maybe, but remember how much fun we had as kids exploring our neighborhood parks with the group? Man those were the good ol' days." Perfect! My plan worked! Man, we did have a lot of fun as kids.

I thought through all of the times we went on adventures and mentioned one of my favorites...

"Even when that one random kid put a butterfly down your pants?" I bit my lip back to hold in my laughter. The memory of Jimin screaming across the park flashed in my mind and I had to hold back my tears because that's just how funny it was. I then looked up at his face, and he mouthed for me to "shut up.."  and that set me off. I burst into laughter, causing everyone to turn towards me looking scared, worried, and alarmed.

"Don't worry everybody, she'll be fine." Jimin groaned, obviously annoyed from my behavior. I'll admit sometimes you can't do anything but help it. If you saw a child yelling, and tripping over himself while running across a park, you wouldn't be able to keep your laughter in either.

I jumped back to reality when we reached the car. There was a large SUV in front of me with a hue of shiny black. I guess I should've expected it because how else would eight people fit in a car?

Everyone loaded in, and I was left dead last. There was one seat left, and it was next to Namjoon. At least it wasn't Jimin. "Hurry up and get your butt in!" Jin yelled "We don't have all day, we need to be at the restaurant in an hour and thirty minutes." I scrambled into the car and sat down next to him. "Let's go." I said, causing Jin to take his foot off the brakes and push on the pedal.

:::

"Move! Move!" I yelled trying to exit the vehicle.

"Relaxxx!" Jin responded.

"Well I'm sorry. I didn't know you were crammed back there for thirty minutes! Especially with them. They haven't changed a bit!" I spat.

He shrugged it off and started walking, I had no idea where we were going, but whatever. I didn't really care. We could be going to Walmart for all I care.

All eight of us entered a store, it took me by surprise. I felt like I didn't belong in there at all. Think of any modern trend that any popular girl would fall for, and it was in there. The clothes, don't get me started, they were so modern, they were in in the future.

"Who combined 2018 and the 1800's in here?" Jin joked.

"Haha. Very funny." I tried to seem stubborn, even though what he said was true. I probably could've found the queen of England in there.

I needed to get focused, and get my game face ON! It was shopping time.
